They've put in a new hourly download limit thing. Do any of you guys know how to bypass it?

I'm too lazy to google rapidshare but I'm now into newsgroups and they rockz0rs my boxz0rs. Bittorrent is also a good alternative.

I hate Rapidshare mainly because of the limit (and its only 30mb).

If you're uploading, there are better hosts than RS, to an extent.

If you're downloading, you have to wait an hour :p. I haven't heard of anyway to get around the limit.

Doesn't work if you have a static IP.

Wtf is it, btw?

I think it's one of those filesharing systems. I assumed it was an ISP, though putting an hourly download limit would be really extreme.

Yeah, I was downloading part 1 of a Raven Riley series the other day and when I got to part 2 it said I'd have to wait for an hour... freakin' $*@&#... well, I guessed they must've kept track of my IP somehow, but I thought I'd have to reboot or log off to get a new IP and continue d/l'ing... anyways, thanks cr3am for the link, hope the tips work! :D

Oh, and they say you can't use download accelerators, but they probably mean you can't resume downloads only, coz I use Flashget w/o any probs... but I don't think you guys would need it since most of you must have fast connections.

yeah but that limits the number of downloads and they run out pretty quickly. there's also www.yousendit.com and they allow files as big as 1GB. the thing is that it lasts for only 25 downloads or so.

I use a URL

'proxify.com'

to connect to my mail server from my company sometimes, they also block the sites putting up cricket scores but so many of my friends use this URL and access another URL.

This works on the concept of dynamic IP address I guess.

You can try getting into rapidshare using this URL.
