In Doom 2, on Map 15, how do I get past that large pillar midway into the game?

You hit the one thing next to the switch and the wall over yonder.

is it me, or was that response very bland...lol...you look on the screen, hit the button, and end the level, and that thing happens...good one...lol

There's a switch thing or something, I can't remember, Walk along the walls and press activate and then shoot everything. Should work.
Was that better?

Redeemer, get VDMsound and try again. Or legacy doom, it's sweet, and runs fine in XP.
Also, don't bash progress. It's a good thing that XP doesn't support everything dos, because if it did, then it would have to be based on dos. That would suck.
The reason why XP doesn't support dos is because it (get this) isn't based on dos! It has something called a kernel that actually allows you to do things faster than the speed of cold, set-up concrete!

Did you ever find the one panel with the shiznat coming out of it, well if so, you need to restart the level.

Hah. I've got Ultimate Doom and Doom II on the original floppies and they both work fine under XP. Just a little quirkyness with the sound but nothing Doom95 won't fix.
