Athlon XP 2800+ Thoroughbred V. Barton

I'm trying to built a good gaming pc and i cant decide which is better the Thoroughbred or the Barton Core. The thoroughbred runs at 2.25Ghz but the newer Barton runs at only 2.08GHz, which one would you recommend for playing the most demanding games? any advice would be appreciated

i think the PR ratings should tell you a bit.....

the barton also has 512 of L2 cache. get the abrton if you've got he money, otherwise, a T-Bred isn't too shabby.......

both will tear through any of the newest games you throw at it.

Yup, these early bartons dont have speed advantage big enough to justify the price, so it all comes to your wallets size.

There are to few games/programs to take advantage of extra cache... if at all.
