At that price? It must a Canadian thing then, or either the car is a pos.. in the US that's one of the three most stolen cars, insurance is not cheap mostly depending on what area you live in - example being a ghetto ass area.

same sort of thing applies in australia. Car insurance is hiked up 25% extra for guys, another 25% if your car is turbo or supercharged.

ofcoarse insurance isn't compulsory, or at least in my state.

I own a Jeep , i havent paid its Token/Tax for about 6 to 7 years now :rolleyes:
and i dont have insurance on it as it damages other cars or kill animals on road and i only have to change its steal bumper .

If it makes you feel any better, if it were health insurance, your sister would be paying more than triple of that of a man's during her lifetime - due to things we women have to deal with...pap tests, pregnancy, ovarian cysts, ovarian cancers, breast cancer, and menopause. She might not ever have any of those problems but she will pay for it non-the-less.

Women are safer drivers.... but they also have more complicated plumbing than men and the insurance companies know it.

I would rather have the higher auto rates (which will go down for you as a man as you get older and of course stay out of traffic problems).

It might be a joke to you guys, but as I said, the insurance companies have that stats - so what I say about women drivers is not my opinion. It's based off of the facts.

Insurance companies have those stats/facts and they are the ones that base their rates upon those stats. Especially for younger drivers, women are generally less apt to get into a wreck, or speed than the younger men.

Also if you are still in school and driving on your parent's insurance policy, in many states the insurance policy will allow for lower rates if you are an "A" / "B" student when it comes to your grades. To the insurance companies, that shows that because you are getting the better grades, that you must be 1. smarter, and 2. more responsible -- probably because you take the time to study rather than fool-around.

I, btw, got the cheap rates all the time I was in high-school. :D

That's one woman. I'm talking averages. I'm sure there are guys out there that are excellent drivers and women who can't drive worth a shit. But again...it's the averages that the insurance companies look at...and on average women are much better about staying out of trouble when it comes to traffic violations and wrecks.

I hope they caught that twit that hit everyone in that parking lot....she deserves to have her ass tossed in jail and her licence taken away for at least 4 or 5 years. :mad:

Well, my experience says otherwise. Every time a driver does something completely stupid it's almost always a woman. The reason they might get lower insurance fees is because they drive slower, but that's also one of their problems, they drive so fucking slow and annoying they piss other drivers off, creating a dangerous situation. Also women can't seem to look around. They decide what they want to do and do it, regardless of the consequences. Fuck I hate women in traffic.
