I was wondering how many peeps played Painkiller. As I was reading the "Doom 3 hate club" thread I started thinking about how PK filled in where Doom3 missed out. Definately a "run and gun with good fun" game its easy to operate, great looking, has new style phisics, and guys spawn right behind you!

I loved Painkiller. I played the game twice and every now and then load up a certain level to satisfy my twitchy finger. One word of advice to you is don't buy the expansion. It fucking sucks

Yeah it was a fun game. Never cared to understand what the cards in the game did or how to use them, nonetheless some monsters were kind of annoying.

I liked it for about 15 minutes, then I got tired of shooting the same enemies with the same weapons. I actually played it until the end, but I did hate it after the initial 15 minutes.

Painkiller does get very, very boring after the first level. I do like the engine, though.

And yes, I think you kill way more dudes in Serious Sam.

Serious Sam 2 4 ever! The monsters were very strange. For example this beheaded guy who screams and runs to you with two bombs in his hands.

Yeah I read about that too some time ago.. Guess it's still in the early stages of development cos there's hardly any media

Painkiller was really good to let of some steam after a days work. However, like already mentioned it gets very repetitive and boring. I acctually found it to be more fun with all weapons and god mode cheats.
Serious Sam was a great game, especially in Co-op mode, but it was just as brainless as Painkiller.

If you're going to spend you money on Painkiller, make sure it has a number "5" on it and chase it with a shot of vodka. If the "5" isnt availible then substitute with oxycotin.
