Good info. I like it that they're bringing back the Deck. :D I think all classic UT players will appreciate that.

# Tridium Stinger

* Replaces the minigun

O_O The Stinger was fucking awesome in Unreal. Shot like blue crystals or something that stuck into shit. I loved that gun. Someone actually made a pretty sweet gun out of it in a mod. Made it like the gun in Fifth Element. (The one that had tracing bullets, net gun, flame thrower, ice, rocket launcher, etc etc.)

Didn't the shards explode in Skaarj? Or something, I just remember using the living hell out of that gun in Unreal. I for one welcome the change.

Yeah, I have been going around in a lot of different Unreal forums looking up on shit about this game. I was upset that Epic made no mention of bringing the Ripper back. Also, a lot of people seem to want the game to be called Unreal Tournament 3. But, that would be stupid since 2004 is UT3. Why dont they just stick with the 200X names? Not to many people seem to like the 200X names.

I made a poll about the Ripper in the Beyond Unreal forums and a lot of people want it back.

It's not exactly a kick-ass game, but still worth your money .

Trust, I would bid on that, but there's no way in fuck you're getting my address.

While I also think having the Ripper back would be awesome, I don't think the game world would be well suited for it. In UT99, they surfaces were 95% of the time horizontally perpendicular to the player. But in UT2K3/4, walls and other surfaces weren't as straight or *bounce friendly* if you catch my drift. Though I think the Ripper would have worked fine in it. But in UT2K6? I don't know if there would be any surface flat enough for the disc to stay on the same horizontal plane as the player's neck. :)

The new goliath is gonna be sweet:

No one with anything below the NV6800 cards and the corresponding ATI level of cards will able to run this game.

Why the hell would anyone ask if UT2004 is worth getting? Its one of the best FPS around. And if you've got broadband and unlimited downloads(like me) you can get all the mods, some of which are more fun than other games like 'cough' half life 2.

Uh, hopefully. But I really doubt it, Why would a company release a game that cant run on most of our computers?

I agree UT2004 is still the best multiplayer game out right now. I have had it on my hard drive since the day it came out. I admit I gave it some breaks every now and then and tried some other FPS multi game but all the others suck compared to UT2004. If anyone can think of a better online FPS out now please name it.

There IS the matter of preference....if fast paced arcade shooters are your fancy then yes, this is the best. BF: Vietnam and UT2k4 came out the same week and I picked both up at the same time....spent about 3 hours playing UT2k4 and spent 3 months playing Battlefield: Vietnam. Allllllll preference.

Oh, and I think the majority would say that CS:source is tops.

Yeah, it truly is all in opinion. Vietnam didnt keep my interest but for a mere 15 mins. While UT2004 is still the most played MP game for me. Ha, 3 hours thats it? I think 1 game of ONS last about 3 hours for me.

Does anyone know if theres gonna be an actual Unreal 3 game?(hopefully not a sequel to unreal 2), I mean the UT series is fucking brilliant but I want another unreal game, and one thats damn decent.

By the way this is my first post on my new PC, I finally got the net on it so I'm actually able to play games online now. I just played doom 3 online for the first time and got killed 5 times without killing a single other player, I either really suck or the guys who I fought really didn't want me in there game. I probably won't be able to play UT2004 online since my copy is pirated.

I was exaggerating a bit....I played the hell out of it for about a week and totally loved a couple of the ONS maps. Once I played Vietnam though I couldn't go back to laser guns and hovercrafts after firing an M60 and flying MiGs. I did a reinstall of UT2k4 after hearing good things about Red Orchestra but.....eh, Call of Duty did it better IMO.

I REALLY hoping that Operation Flashpoint 2 makes an appearance at E3 and STALKER gives us a clearer idea of where they're at with development and testing. STALKER's release marks the day I get a new PC....well, depending on the reviews, critic and user alike.

Shit, I haven't heard any official news on that in so long. It's the only game I've ever played where you can jump out of an airplane, steal a helicopter, blow the shit out of tanks, and then ditch and snipe. Etc etc

It really was an incredible game. I loved the large scale battles most of all.

Yeah. Not to meantion it was realistic AND fun. Not to meantion, explosived had a realistic scale to them. ie, you could set down a C4 pack, run 50 meters away, blow it, and it'd still kill you.
