Flues

Damn.

I haven't even had a head-cold for 4 or 5 years - but a few days ago, I came down with the flue.

I hate the body aches that come with the fevers, I feel like someone has worked me over with a baseball bat.

Everyone keeps telling me to go to the doctor a get some antibiotics, but I'm like 'it's a flue' you're suppose to be sick for a little while....and THEN if you don't get feeling better you should go get antibiotics. Besides, to go to the clinic here is about $120.00 for the clinic visit, $50.00 for the Doctor to see ya, and I have no clue how much the antibiotics are..but I wouldn't be surprised they are around $30.00 or so.

I think I just hold on for a week and see if I start feeling better....cheaper-hopefully, more miserable-definitely, but also probably better for my body if it can kick it on it's own rather than taking antibiotics that kill everything...even the good antibodies.

I think I'm going to live dammit.

There was a point there this morning when I got to coughing so much I thought I was going to run out of air....now, my ribs feel like they're about ready to break.

Time for a hot hot shower, and then unfortunately, I have to go to work today, because one of our employees told us (my brother and I) that He wasn't going to work Saturdays anymore and this is the Saturday he is suppose to work. :mad:

Well...he might not be working there at all after next week. As soon as we can line up another guy to come in, I think "Mr. I'm Not Working Saturdays" butt's going to be headed down the road. When he was hired he agreed to work every 3rd Saturday...and it's a 'short' day' as we close a 2p.m. instead of 5:00p.m. Also the person who works Saturday gets Friday off.
This allows each of us to have 2 full weekends in a row before having to work a Saturday again.

I'm pretty ticked off about this. I'm extremely sick ...and my brother, he really needs a weekend because he's been working his ass off at the store this week, covering for me by helping most of the customers while I stayed in the office and answered phones, but also he's had to go and install carpet after work.

Rant done.... I need to go climb into that shower....and get steamed in a much better way than I am right now thinking about having to work my employee's Saturday. :mad:
