Jeremaya asked this question nbefore, and most of us recommed Panicware's pop-up stopper, but the newest version of pop-up stopper is really gay, so see if you can grab the 2.92 version.

The pro sucks! Better get the version before the pro... what is the point of all the lousy new features? All I wanted is to kill the pop-ups and the old version works very, very well without giving me crap. It just sat therre in the system try and whenever there is a pop-up it kills it. The new one has so many damn options to tweak, so many damn integrations with the damn browsers, so many damn shit to do to keep it not annoying and it is not damn free.....!!!
Who ever want the old version send me their e-mail and I send the file to you.

Mozilla or Opera. Trust me. Opera 7 is the best browser I've ever used, and I've spent the past three years as a web application developer. It's so nice, I broke down and paid for it. One quick setting and you'll never get another unrequested popup ad, and no bullshit spyware installed when you're not looking. There is absolutely no need for these popup blocking programs and spyware preventers if you're using Opera or Mozilla.

I prefer using a separate program to the browser, because quite simply you can disable it temporarily if you run into a popup you need to have, by just pressing one button.
However, I`m not entirely sure if this is possible with Opera/Mozilla aswell, because I have never been able to get either displaying many pages properly for me (only the realy professional looking ones)... HTML newbies using nonstandard code, I guess
