Ugh.

My entire mouth is numb, I'm bleeding from my wounds, and to top it off, I can only eat shitty food. Luckily, I still have the ability to manage the computer, so all is well.

You could be in my situation. I got all four of my wisdom teeth cutt out and then the right side of my tongue is still numb. It never regained feeling or taste for that matter. And when I touch the right side of the back of my mouth it makes my tongue tingle. Now I have to go to a neurologist to see if they can fix it. So even though it feels bad now, it could be worse. Hope you get to feeling better though.

Might want to get that checked out. I thought the same thing and then my jaw started hurting REALLY bad and all of a sudden there they were. Turns out I should have had an x-ray for wisdom teeth a year before. Which is why my tongue is numb because the teeth had enough time to start growing roots. Cause the roots apparently start wrapping around the nerves in your jaw.

Well, I finally got over the lack of food in tandem with way too much pain medicine such that I could walk downstairs and visit the computer. It's not so bad as of now. Sure, the top and bottom rear-sides of my mouth hurt like hell, but the feeling that I want to puke everywhere is gladly gone. I'm currently dining on some hot-choco and waiting for my ice-packs to freeze up so I can numb some of this shitty pain. I'm also hoping that once I do go back to bed with these packs, the bleeding will stop. I'm tired of the taste and thickness of blood in my mouth.

Ugh.

Oh yeah, also a note of irony: It turns out the tooth that was supposedly the easiest to get out not only hurts the most, but is bleeding the most. I'm sure the doctor got all egotistical and threw caution to the wind on that one; fucker.

Anywho, going to finish up this glass of choco and hope for the best.

Dude, have someone there to video tape you when you FIRST wake up. The craziest shit flys outta your mouth....stuff that you'd normally say on this forum but not necessarily in a public place, and you wont remember any of it.

I woke up from the shit all friendly, talking to the nurses n' pokin' myself. Once I got home I started to feel like shit so I took the tylenol with codine which does a number on my stomach. Anywho, I'm feeling a bit better and only slightly chipmunky, so all is wellish.

Time to lay down again, I think.

The pain is essentially gone now. Only one problem remains: I can't chew. I tried to eat a peanutbutter and jelly sandwhich, only to find myself soaking each bite in saliva before sucking it down my throat. Good times, for sure. Never the less, I'm extactic about my lack of pain. Pretty much my left side is the only side that's puffy, so I'm sure by tomorrow I'll be back in business.
