whale hunting

Well its the summer now and its pretty much whale hunting season and recently the whole issue of limiting that kind of hunting has blown over. Countries like Japan and Norway still kill whales by the thousands for both commerical use and "scientific" use.

I just watched a discussion on BBC and its sad to see how ridiculously stupid people get when trying to proctect a destructive billion dollar industry. Basically Japan currently kills around 2,000 whales yearly for "scientific" purposes. Of course that's thorough bullshit.

Although I do recognize their right to hunt whales, the whaling community seems to think that conservation is too restricting. Whale population levels are no where near their original levels yet they seem to think its okay to resume hunting breeding areas. Why people just refuse to understand the implications of wiping off any kind of wildlife is so frustrating.

But in all seriousness. I think that's wrong but a lot of things in the world are, you can't tell people anything. You have to let them fuck up and then they realize their errors. So basically, they have to kill all the whales but like 2 to figure out that what they are doing is idiotic.
