Your thoughts on GTA:SA being PWNT?

So yeah as we all know by now, the GTA game rating has been changed to Adults-Only.

Personally I think it's garbage that the ESRB has such power to inflict such damage to one of the last great games around.. I however think that it's Rockstar's and Take Two Interactive fault for leaving the content there in the first place.

In the end shit happens and this will probably be more profitable for the GTA franchise in the long run, to bad they predicted that they're going to be out about $50 million because of the rating though.

It's Rockstar's fault obviously, but with all this publicity it'll just boost sales of a game that has already sold more than 6 Million PS2 copies. I salute you Rockstar Games.

also wont the increase in rating make quite a lot of stores stop selling it? like walmart?

I have a question for our government. Why do you make such a big deal over a stupid thing such as sex scenes in a video game(s)? When there are way bigger problems to deal with such as, poverty, a failing education system, terrorism, and our corrupt justice system.

Yeah it does happen in the console version too, u gotta make your girl completely happy and it occurs (but this is with cheats). The game was banned from the start over here just because it had people saying FUCK!! :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

it all comes down to power, some people like the idea of being able to control what others see, things like poverty ect ect, they dont care about, mainly because it will cost money to control.

I totally agree on that, gta: sa is as bad as (in terms of violence, sex, profanity)games get. No child should go within 20 miles of sa. Now I love blood, sex and every second word spoken being fuck but I really get pissed off when I see stupid arse parents buying their 5 YEAR OLDs games like gta. Fucking stupid morons no wonder shit like this has happened, if parents weren't so dumb and unaware of RATINGS then this kinda thing wouldn't happen.

I read a huge amount of stuff already on all this contoversy, yes rockstar are idiots for thinking they could get away with 'hiding' sex in a game but ratings exist for a reason, people treat movie ratings really well, you don't see parents buying their kids porn now do ya? so why don't they treat games with the same seriousness? because they're games, so many (really stupid) people still think games are only for kids and thus assume the ratings are meaningless because a game isn't real but its still just as inapropriate. In my opinion gta was just waiting for an AO rating anyway.

What pisses me off is that you can't even see this shit without modding the game. Sure, the content was in there itself, but it was unplayable until you modded the game. Therefore, nothing wrong done. Therefore, fucking politicians take another victory they shouldn't have gotten.
