It's actualy a teaser, and some of the scenes in there are not finished. They also said that they are going to use "real" monsters instead of CG as much as they can.

Well, I'm glad it is set on Mars and that it will have Doom monster designs (Hellknight, Pinky, etc), but I'm disappointed in the fact that they made the Demons just "Mutants" from genetic experients.

Frankly, il probly end up buying it and enjoying it, thats whats great about hearing nothing but bad reveiws, the movie end up turning out not so bad.

Yeah you might be right on that one, non-cg monsters look really stiff and lifeless.

Uh, on the contrary, remember Alien and Aliens? Cameron built those things in a fucking workshop and they ruled your face. When they got blown apart by gunfire, they really got blown apart, piece by piece. It was so awesome I had a boner for a week. Its coming back just talking about it.

Hey, look at batman. They used a real fucking car for the batmobile. The problem with CG is that it looks CG, while real looks real. sounds obvious, but youd be amazed by how many people are like "err they didnt use CG its gonna be shit"

Having viewed the trailer, I was left with the immediate impression that we all have seen this film several times before. I, too, instantly thought of Aliens, as well as much of the first Resident Evil film. Now, that doesn't automatically mean that this will be a poor movie, but it hardly looks like it contains anything original.

The elite, heavily-armed squad of overly-confident and very studly young men, (I didn't notice the token Lara Croft-type babe amongst them), kept on ice by some dark and nefarious government or corporate agency, and unleashed to clean up the mess of those damn meddling scientific fools who were too busy corrupting Nature to have caught Aliens, Resident Evil or the classic, Galaxy Of Terror on DVD. Of course, 90% of these "fixers" are cannon-fodder, and it will be immediately obvious which ones will not be in the sequel. The squad will "split-up" to individually cover Administration, Alpha Labs, and the Armory, and, as a result, will individually be "offed" by some monstrosity of one kind or another. Note to all bad-ass cleaners: Never split-up! In groups of less than three you're just screaming, "Kill me!"

I think it would actually have been much cooler, and perhaps more original, to have a single individual go through the two hours of Doom pretty much all alone, as in the case of the game itself. More of a challenge to write, direct and act, no doubt, but it may have been a more compelling film. All this aside, I'd be lying if I said I won't be paying to see this. This is my idea of a "chick-flick."

I was instantly bored when I saw the trailer, so I started looking at the faces of the actors instead...never seen so many "shocked/screaming" faces in one trailer, you know the look with big eyes and open mouth screaming "DOWN" or "[insert name here]!!1!"
