I was just posting to see if there were any other EQ2 players on the boards other than myself, and there were, if they wouldn't mind posting some helpful links, or UI mods, stuff like that. I've only been playing it for a couple days and have a level 7 fighter on Antonia Bayle and a level 7 Scout on Toxxulia. Haven't really learned how to play worth a damn yet.

What the feck's this Everquest 2? Wasn't one bad enough?
Anyway: From what I've heard, Everquest 2 quickly fell like Asheron's Call 2 (or dare I say it, Earth & Beyond!?). They have plenty of players, but they were massive flops...

WHY play a game that offers no pvp and a terribly long leveling grind? Play game like EVE Online, that actually allows you to do what you want in order to advance...Mine, pirate, produce ships and items, research blueprints, steal ore, kill mobs, become a mercenary, run missions for agents, ect. And besides, EQ2 is for carebears!

Dude, I had a friend who played SWG. Apparently the level grind was weeks... Sucks.

Isn't it great when you post a topic on a forum and people start telling you how much the game you're playing sucks and how you should play something else instead of actually answering your question?

First off a game can't be a flop and have plenty players. That just doesn't make sense. That would be like saying the GTA series flopped even though it sold millions. Asherson's Call 2 was a great game, it was the first MMO I had ever played and because of it I played a few others before I realized they were pretty much all the same. I also played Earth & Beyond and it was cool, but it definitely didn't do well since it was shut down completely.
On to EQ2. I played the island trial thing and enjoyed it. The graphics were very nice and the animations were smooth and felt much more realistic than most MMO games out today. Even though I felt the fighitng was too slow for me I could probably get into the game if I bought it. I was thinking about getting it after I messed with the Island trial but I think Guild Wars was going to be out in a week so I didn't see a point in having two huge online RPGs. I like how the new expansion is looking though.

Actually, it does suck, hard. I just get all pissed and defensive when I pay 15 a month for something, I already cancelled my account. Yay for WoW.

Why tell somebody else to stop playing a game that you don't like and tell them to play a game that you like.

Nothing wrong with that, just trying to reccomend something he thinks is really fun, shit, I'm sure I've done that in other peoples threads about 5,000 times.

Exactly! Plus, everyone on EVE plays on one server, so it is very easy to get connected with people that just joined the game.
