View Full Version : Ya know what sucks about gamepads/joysticks?

Games like UT2k3, BF1942, etc don't pick up controls from all your controllers so you have to have only one plugged in to work. If I have my MS 3D pro plugged in, those games will only register commands given by it. If I only have my x-box controller plugged in, they'll work fine with it.
Emus on the other hand work fine with all three of my controllers plugged in at the same time! And all of those are freeware!

some people like to use them.....personaly the only thing i use em for are ROMS

Well, I went to all the trouble of modding an x-box controller...ok, yeah you are right. Well, the important thing is if I want, I can unhook every other game control device, and then play UT2k3 with my controller and pretend its UC instead.

I'm too lazy to hook everything up but I would love to play Battlefield 1942 with a joystick, wheel, mouse and keyboard. Do you guys think it'll all work?

It won't. Too many buttons and axis for the game to think about. It can only monitor one device at a time as far as I can tell.
