I'm slightly confused over what's available for the notebook market.
AMD apparently has two products Sempron and Turion. Which one is supposed to be the better of the two? And do they perform any better than Pentium M?
Links will be great. I was looking in at anatech, couldn't get anything useful.

Centrino isn't a chip, nor a chipset, it's called a "technology". As of right now, a Pentium M system with Centrino Technology is your best bet for good performance without sacrificing battery life. AMD will be launching a dual-core Turion processor next year that will compete with Intel's upcoming Yonah.

centrino is better
+1
Centrino has been tried and tested. And for a laptop to be a "Centrino" you need to fulfill some prerequisites, like recommened chipset by intel ....... this is what AMD is just tryin to do, by marketing the "Stable Platform" concept....readily available tried tested compatible platforms..
I'm still inclined towards the turions though. They clock better and dissipate lesser heat than the centrinos also the vcore voltage is much lower than the centrino. But, given that I've got the cash to buy a laptop right now, I would go in for a centrino?
