Which is it?

I assume WASD as that follows the basic reading habit, though it doesn't create a nice word.

I just say wads, because you can actualy say it... I used to be a keyboard only player back in the day before anyone knew any better, but I don't remember what they first started calling it :confused:

Yeah I hear a lot of games use ESDF, it enables you to use the other keys for things like weapon binds and other commands.

I think it doesn’t have as much to do with the key positioning on the keyboard as it does with its position in the options of most (if not all) shooters. And not only shooters for that matter any kind of games utilizing direct control of a character. Usually it goes: Forward, Back, Left, Right. Hence wsad.
