BiA EiB Review Comments (http://www.actiontrip.com/rei/comments.phtml?cat=reviews&link=brothersinarmsearnedinblood)
If that really is a Gearbox Developer, that guy has the right to be pissed. Rofl. And I always thought AT was in good terms with Ubisoft. Second to that there is this ConcernedReader guy trying to play out a drama and doesn't know that I posted that BiA sucked ass and this one sucks donkey cock. Ha! Fuckin' A!
Let's see what 2lions has to say about this. P.S. I am banned from main page, hot damn!
Anyways, before 2lions edits out the main site and for all the lazy fucks who wouldn't follow a link, here are a few posts:
Folks,
Having worked on products like WWII Online and Ensemble's "Age of" series it's safe to say I have worked on blockbusters and dogs. However I have never read a game review so completely off topic as the review I read regarding "Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood".
Now I have no problem with the reviewer not liking a game. What is disturbing is the reviewer did not appear to even play the game or discuss any of the content or new features of the game. While EiB is indeed "more of the same" as Hill 30 the reviewer would be in sorry shape reviewing any FPS game of the past 10 years if that is his only criteria. He makes no mention of any changes in the AI (they are legion) and no mention of the other game modes such as Skirmish (new) and multiplayer (old). The lack of content review is jarring and absurd. Were a person looking at this review they would know nothing of the product and know that the reviewer only disliked the marketing of the publisher. If your readers are only interested in knowing that then you’ve hit your target. If they actually look for information on a game then you’re not providing it.
As a developer I would be keen to hear some genuine criticism on what went wrong and what went right. His emotional ranting regarding the state of the industry does little to highlight any of the weak points in the product so they may, potentially, be addressed. Any review with this line it it "Many people may not approve of this review. Many will accuse me of not doing my job, which is to focus more on the actual content and less on the issues I have with this industry and Ubisoft's marketing tactics in particular “ should at least be read for content by the editorial staff. I certainly don’t hope you pay this individual because I believe you’ve been

All the hates and loves are perfectly on point; they actually deal with the game. Using this information to work with we can understand the how’s and why’s of what the reviewer liked or did not like. The reviewer for Action Trip appears to dislike Ubisoft and therefore EiB. I even sympathize with some of his points; however I don't find his article a "review" at all.
Consider this note a review of your reviewer. I hope I took the time to point out the items I found distasteful. I would have pointed out the parts I found useful, were there any, and given a fair scoring based on that. I have even provided a solid example of a review that was below what I would like to see in terms of score but very useful for evaluating our game.
In the end I don’t expect much except for you to lump me in the “disgruntled developer” bin. It’s unfortunate if you do that since I am attempting to tell you what the game playing public would like to read reviews for: a breakdown of the games attributes and what the reviewer thought of them.

Gearbox Software
You know I totally agree with what Michael Weber of Gearbox Software on what he said about Actiontrip review of "Brothers In Arms: Earned In Blood". The Actiontrip reviewer is doing the gaming industry a complete disservice and injustice by not taking the time to properly review a game. Brothers In Arms: Earned In Blood is one of the best World War II PC games out there. How can the Actiontrip reviewer give such a bad review to such a great game and also express so much anger. What does that solve? The "Skirmish Mode" alone is revolutionary in PC gaming. The Actiontrip reviewer didn't even bother to mention the Skirmish Mode. How sad to leave out such a great part to the game. I think that Actiontrip owes an apology to Gearbox Software for such a bad review to a great PC game. Also when comparing this game to Call Of Duty 2, Call Of Duty 2 is a completely different game. This game is non-linear. Call Of Duty 2 demo is linear. You can control AI teammates and tanks in this game. You can't control AI teammates or tanks in Call Of Duty 2 demo. In Skirmish Mode, you can play the role of Amercian or German soldiers. You can't do that Call Of Duty 2. Call Of Duty 2 has no Skirmish Mode. Please, Actiontrip, have your reviewers do better jobs on reviewing PC games.

I agree as well. It is a shame that this Uros "2Lions" Jojic person can get away with having such a hateful piece published on a once ( until this morning for me ) respected game site. I have been reading Action Trip for a long time and I am ashamed to see that they would allow such a thing to be posted ( And then link to it from their front page! ). What was said in this review was full of spite and just down right hateful. I was disgusted to read this. What bothers me most is that I am a huge fan of the Brothers In Arms games and I am personally really pleased with the SEQUEL. I take personal insult to your bashing of the franchise and its fans ( as you are basically insulting the greater half of your readers who are pleased with the games [ and are not so inclined to form a membership just to say foul words such as NiteX up there^ to games we don't particularly care for] ).
And 2Lions, it's nice to see you're allowed to edit peoples posts. Is this the way you handle people who disagree with your point of view? You are warning someone about their language and deleting their post, but just above that post I don't see where you've said anything ( or censored ) the person who seemingly agreed with your narrowminded perspective. The person (NiteX) said: "Ok now this game sucks fucking ass. You should have given it a 3/100. B&W2 is 10 times more fun than this shit of a FPS." I find it hard to believe that WhoGivesARatsAss could have said any words more offensive than that ( or your steaming review for that matter ). I'm guessing that he had something to say about you or your article, and you aren't man enough to leave it. That speaks volumes about you and your work ( and the people that allow the article to stay live). Speaking of shameless marketing antics: How about Action Trip ( who let's face it, hasn't really made a wonderful name for itself around the gaming community, or had much site traffic lately [ You have adds for SunRocket on your site! This is the best advertising you can get?] ) stooping so low as to post a terrible, hasteful and controversial article just to stimulate interest in the site. That's low. Very low.
As a fan who faithfully read your (Action Trip) reviews in the past I am completely disgusted by your allowance of such a terrible content. Of course I'm sure 2Lions will rip my post down and throw in a few last words about how this is my last warning, etc. Well if so, then good riddance to you and Action Trip.
