"you will never need more than 64mb of ram is gonna be as high you ever gonna need to go but we are hogs and want to use this as a quake server"

JESUS CHRIST. Why are they so fucking sloooooooow? "We're gonna yeah......we're gonna talk about.....the cpu........and the overall system performance.........yeah.........and........uhm..." GET A FUCKING MOVE ON.
PS. I bought about the same system in EXACT that year. Except for the screen offcourse and the parts were different but I had the same CPU and the same mem. Cost me about 3000 back then.

It took NASA 64k to get to the moon, if it's good enough for them, it's good enough for you......
....except the person who said that didn't realize that we don't get to use programs written by NASA, we get programs written by poor slobs who have deadlines and no personal life, so what we get is sloppy and resource wasting software. Any assumption about future hardware requirements means that we also will not make programs that are any more complex than they are today, which is obviously stupid to do.
