How many marks are you guys getting?
I got 3624 marks with:

Seriously, you have a pretty decent rig. I just tested my rig and got 4929 in 3DMark05 at 1024x768. I've got a BartonXP @2300MHz / 1gig DDR / X800Pro AGP 256MB. I could prolly get over 5000 if I OC'd the GPU and VRAM.

As far as getting into competitions of whose score is higher - yea ignore the fucking program. But I use 3Dmark pretty much only when I'm troubleshooting. I get a baseline score when I get a new video card or CPU and if my system ever gets flakey, I can then make sure the score is reltively close and use it to confirm if the fixes are working properly.

It's nice having one package that tests OpenGL and D3D without having to load separate games to check performance but I still just use it for comparing earlier results of my own system.

I am staring at my DFI and sleeping every day. My newegg shipment has not yet reached me. Gettin the eVGA 7800GT. Its so disturbing to know that the extra pipes cannot be unlocked and the GT be modded to a GTX :(
it does clocks upto default GTX speeds easily and u can use Artic Silencer to make it permenant

Was really broke, hence settled in for 1GB RAM. Next on my list would be 2GB Dual Channel, Arctic Cooling for my eVGA and the rest is good to go for a nice overclock session.

cpu-z is showing 512MB because I choose a single slot since it shows the model of the RAM on the slot. By the looks of it, I guess I have OCZ Gold (as on the product lable), but I also see EL (meaning Extended Latency?? ).

I'm just getting into OC'ing now cause I stayed up late playing SC:CT. I haven't gotten a stable OC over 2.35Ghz yet... I need to loosen the RAM timings a little more. I'm runnin the A8N-SLI Premium with 1G of OCZ Platinum Rev. 2. Anyone got suggestions? BTW, how high can the Newcastle go? I've gotten it to 2.4 but the stability is crap...

Leave your voltage stock. Loosen your timings to 3-4-4-8, put your ram voltage to ~2.8 and see if that's stable.
