Alright, just saw the movie with hottie Charlize Theron... yeah, she's really hot. Wow. And that voice, Mmmmm. Ok, so from 1995-96ish I watched MTV oddities(ya know, when MTV had worthwhile stuff on) and Aeon Flux was one among many good 'oddities'. Other shows included The Maxx(my personal fav along with the comics) and The Head, which was insanity itself. Aeon really stood out because it pushed the limits of raunchiness and action. It generally kicked ass. The head, The Maxx and Aeon came out on VHS but nowadays are hard to find. When I heard the box set for Aeon was coming out, it was on the top of my list(even over a season pass for Bridger)! The remaster is awesome and the show is still as incredible as I remember it. The Movie... notsomuch. I thought the movie was going to start out with a huge explosion and Aeon flying through the air, latching onto a grappleing hook and dodging countless bullets WHILE shooting the shit out of a wall, bust through it, do a few hand over heel backflips(while dodging tripwires), and finally land in that kickass vehicle of hers(which they didn't have in the film). So, now that you know I love the series, don't hold your expectations to high if you are like me. If you have no clue who Aeon Flux is, watch the movie, get blown away, watch the series, get blown away again. And for all, the acting ain't that great and it does get tedious at times.
Anyone else see it? ;)

I don't like the way it looks in live action. Pole smokers should of made it animated.

It looks like shit. But I like the whole 'sharp grass' thing. That's about it.

They spend about 2min on the sharp grass thing. I aggree that they should have animated it. The amount of flipping and wall to wall jumping in the series did not come through in the movie, which is what Aeon Flux is all about- Flexibility. The only part that I think they did right was the little accessory that lets you transfer to hidden rooms. No that wasn't a spoiler, when you see it you'll be like, "That was sorta cool." Hmmm, that line pretty much sums up the movie... No, this does, "Bend farther Charlize! No! The other way! C'mon! Awwww... What? Woah, Feethands? Ewwww. Yeah! YEAH! WTF!? Zzzzzzz... Oh, ok. Huh? Uhhhhh. Right. Ooo, SSX On Tour for PSP? Yessss."

Ok, short and sweet: overall is a nice sci-fi movie, but has alot of unnecessary deaths, some godawful-fugly feethands and not enough closeups of Charlize's ass.
Then again, we'll get to see alot of Kate's in Underworld 2.
Final verdict: worth watching.

Just saw it.. *yawns*.. yeah a story like this needs to be about 6 hours long, there was so much more that i'd like to know.. anyway with another over-hyped movie out the way, bring on the good shit.. Got Underworld 2?

This is what I fear they're gonna do with the Evangelion movie if it ever gets made, cram 6 hours of story into 2-3.

Underworld 2? Sweetness. I really enjoyed the first one and I didn't even know a sequel was in the works.
I also used to watch Aeon when they had it on MTV. I haven't seen the movie but the commercials look less than interesting. Charlize is pretty hot but the original Aeon was so chisselled and had such a "gritty" almost boney look, this just doesn't fit with Charlize. I'll wait for DVD.
