Do any of u think that there is any reason 4 a person 2 kill themselves?

It depends, if something really bad happened then i think so. But it would have to be something really bad to justify suicide. I tried to kill myself once, slit my wrist. I was a retard for doing it, but i felt really bad at the time.


I consider something really bad to be:

Lost job.
Lost wife to another guy.
lost a arm, leg, etc.


Of course it would all have to happen all at once, and what are the odds of that?

yeah if everything just went wrong all the sudden...in that order, well with loosing wife last...it would be real bad.
suicide isnt smart, you should go on a rampage and do something to get your anger out, and then die...so at least that way someone remembers you...even if you were a crazy.

if it is Sepkku you're talking about, I know why the Japanese kill themselves with that kind of practice during their feudal era...

Most people during that age follows strict orders and honor is everything to them. A ninja, an Emissary, or a general, who failed their mission is considered as shameful to their lord, and to their honor.

Without honor, they must show their last courage by putting a short katana into their stomach. They usually don't die right a way, but it is to show that they are still honorable enough to face their death with extreme pain. Soon after the stomach is stabbed, a man will chopped their head of, to relief the man from the pain, and complete that man's last honor.

In many cases, even warlords had to do this. A warlord whose own castle is being besieged with no route to escape will usually do sepukku, instead of fallen into the enemy's hand to undure the humiliation of defeat...

I can see why people kill themselves if they are experiencing deep emotional pain, but I wish they wouldn't. They're basically quitting, giving up, admitting life got the better of them and they have no fight left. That's always sad.

catually you have to disembowel your self and not until you showed emotions , then would your friend slice your head off. but if you went through it without any emotion at all you considered extreamly honorable.

I think suicide is illogical. But as a Fremen, if someone wants to kill themselves, don't do it with poison, make sure to do it in a way that will still allow your body's water to be taken from it and used by the rest of the sietch.

Suicide is illogical, but if you must, insure that your bodies water will still be potable. Don't use poison.
