The Year 2005 Thread

Ah yes, the year 2005 was quite a shitty one. I saw the main page poll and it just got me wondering why don't we have a "2005 thread". So I decided to make one and I'm curious to know what you guys thought about the great year of 2005. To me and pretty much all of my friends it was one fucked up and shit ass year. I gave it a 2 on the main page poll. Pretty much nothing great at all happened in 2005, the year was horrible for video gamers and for US States such as mine. I'm glad that 2005 is finally over with, I'm hoping that 2006 will be 5 times better. Christmas was complete shit this year as well. Not much good came out of the year 2005 for me, 2004 was 5 times better. So what about you guys? Was 2005 complete shit for you all as well or what?

2K5 was a meh year for me. Alot of shit like natural disasters, pandemic bird flu scares.... yep a shitter of a year.

Reeeeally hope next year improves. Well it should lift up some since i'm getting a new rig when oblivion is released, so at least that's one thing to look forward to.

Enh. The rest of the world went to hell in a handbasket, but life was pretty good for me overall. Significant salary raise, top of the line rig for which I just got a 21" monitor - I can't complain.

I dropped out of high school (best thing I ever did), gained some weight, and some chick told me to piss off. Good music, mediocre games. It was a decent year though. All the disasters made good entertainment. I honestly hope there's more crazy shit going on in 2006, like maybe a North Korea vs. USA (about time they fought someone their own size, they've been picking on nothing but weaklings since the 60s) war. Or maybe Iraq goes totally insane and the civilians start shooting each other up. Or even better, rioting in some really peaceful country like Switzerland, and a coup. Oh man, I'd piss myself. Sweet stuff.

As for me, 2005 was pretty average. On the one hand my summer blew cause I did nothing but work. On the other hand I saw some sweet ass rock concerts. The DS came out, Zelda was delayed as was the new Red Hot Chili Peppers album. I discovered the joy of being abused on the Atrip forums. What a year.

This year alone i've consumed more alcohol than I did in my entire 4 years of highschool, goooo me.. i've also mastered the art of 3 minutes cum sessions when stroking the penis.. out of everything i've done this year my greatest achievement has to be - the 13 new bitches that I get to add to my Fuck'em list.

2005 was pretty good. My son is now 1 year old, got a salary raise, overall nice computer, sold about 30+ graphics cards, made some profit out of those (nominal :( ), and some other shit going on. Overall, time flew this year, just looking forward to a better one next... and I really need another salary raise :mad:. Today I talk to my boss about it.

Um, Christmas sucked. My dad's been working in Louisiana and my mom and brothers went to visit him for Christmas so I was all alone. My cousin came up Christmas day but it still pretty much blew. But thinking back on the rest of the year... it was ok. Nothing horrifiying happened, at least nothing that I haven't already gotten over and forgotten about. Got cool new things to look forward to next year, and New Year's Eve is my best friends bday so that's gonna kick ass. We're going snow boarding!!! There's always some light shining in, so I'm not worried about this past year or next year to come. Sorry yall's year blew.

well in this year i got Engaged , sold about 40+ Video Cards , 13+ Cases , 8-10+ ram modules , 15+ 21inch flatscreen Monitors , 8-10 PSU and many other stuff, so the year went fine for me except one thing all the Holidays came on Sundays :mad:

WGARA got banned from the main site. That fucking made my year. Aside from that, I finally got myself in order, after taking a semester off, and got back into straight-A form this past fall. I'll probably be looking at transferring to College Park or Hopkins either in the summer or next winter.

Mostly good stuff happened to me this year, but I had a lot of tears too in losing my friend in that damn car wreck, and in putting my old cat to sleep.

2005 was alright for me, nothing really bad or good happened.
I got a handful of good games and a psp.
I'm looking foward too 2006, I'll be getting a 360 and a PS3, hopefully both when combined will bring me some new gaming experiences.

2005 was the year wow came out. So for me -05 sucked. you could say -05 fucked me so hard up the ass that itss be clean for the next 10 years. So thats what I feel about -05.

-06 will be better for me, experiencing something totally new, going to make some new friends, and live on a boat in Norske havet, thats Norwegian sea, or northern sea for you girls (in the navy, where you can sail the seven seas, but not bend to pick up the soap in the shower :))
