Who tried the demo? It's pretty nice, but they could have just skipped the boring tutorial and added a little more to the Galactic Conquest part...
Overall its a decent game, has the right "feel" to it. The anims are cool but they could have added a couple more for infantry.
There isn't very much micromanagement required, but is pretty intense nonetheless.

This mod substantially expands the universe limitation of the demo adding numerous new units to the game.
Personally I didn’t like the demo at all. Than again it didn’t come to me as a surprise since I never actually was a huge fan of SW universe to begin with.

Awesome, thanks alot RAD! That'll give a little more mileage to the demo. :D
Well, i already figured the game isn't going to be a Homeworld/C&C/Rome:TW in the sense of gameplay depth, but the development done in each area is sufficient enough to make it fun to play....
It really depends all on the mission gameplay now, since it mostly loses to other strategy/space-sim games in the graphics dept.
But i figure it'll be an interesting time filler while waiting for Supreme Commander to be released. :D

Well, it could be a fun game, after I saw some in-game footage. Everything looks Star Wars style, including the no-brain space battle. Not going to buy it myslef, though.

I'm on Rad's side, the demo just wasn't very good.

I didnt mind the demo, for what it was worth. From what the demo offers, the only real strategy I can see coming out in it would be in the form of controlling planets and positioning forces and such, because the battles themselves really hinge on just having a massive space or ground force. The reinforcement points on the land maps influence that a bit, but in space its just a simple 'send fleet here' click and sit back and watch the carnage.
It is the best effort at a star wars rts, but it wont be a lasting effort.

Pretty late in the game if you're playing the campaigns.
Alternatively get a mod or something.
