SiN: Episodes

Just watched a rather lengthy gameplay video of SiN at Gamespot from CES 2006:

Must say that I'm not very impressed. The game looks like Half-Life 2, which is no surprise, because it uses Source. But the gameplay feels too straight forward. The gun fight is boring, the enemies don't look very smart, the enviroment is rather flat and boring, too. Tnhe character can use more polygons.

Anyone has any thoughts on this game? $20 for just a part of the game, gee, I certainly need to think about it before buying.

I don't know much about the game, though I'll watch the video sometime within the next day, but my first impressions weren't that great. Mainly because of the marketing scheme, it just seems like a way to suck out some cash. $20 for each piece, and there were supposed to be quite a few of the pieces. Not to mention, each one is only supposed to last for about 6 hours at the most, that just seems like it's not worth it to me.

I was actually laughing out loud when I watched the gameplay video. It was just ridiculous.
Needless to say that if they expect me to put 20 green ones down for that excuse of a sequel aka unfinished mod portion they have one hell of a realisation coming.

I love how realistic the barrel kicking physics were. It's too bad other games can't adopt such advanced technology.

I'm going to buy it, I can't really help it though. I love SiN more than any other FPS ever created.

Yeah, I saw the same gameplay vid. It looks likely an utter yawn fest.
Did anyone else notice that the white truck in that vid made no engine sound nor any collision sound? WTF.

Geez, what a waste of such a brilliant engine.
