hey guys,
Im using my younger brothers xbox and it seems like it keeps messing up and saying it cant recognize the games.... is there anyway to clean it at all or do i just need a new one

You could by one of those lens cleaner discs. You could also open up the Xbox and the DVD drive and clean it yourself (use very soft material that doesn't leave lint behind and do not press down on the lens), this would void your warranty if it's still active.
Your DVD drive could also just be failing, so if your warranty is still in effect it might be worth it to get it fixed (replaced), but I suggest trying one of those lens cleaning discs first. It's possible to add a new DVD drive to the Xbox yourself, but this would also void your warranty and might make Xbox Live get pissed off at you.

thing about xboxes is, cleaning is a rather complicated process. for instance, if your discs are scratched, you might have to resort to sand blasting to even out the whole surface
