* The "Broadway" CPU: 729MHz (approximately the same speed as the original Xbox)
* The "Hollywood" GPU: 243MHz (again, very close to the power of the original Xbox) with 3MBs of texture memory
* RAM: 88MBs, which breaks down to 24MBs of main 1T-SRAM and 64MBs of "external" 1T-SRAM, which one developer notes "can be accessed as quickly as the main RAM, which is nice." The original Xbox, in continuing with teh comparison, had 64MBs of total RAM.

some of those #'s seem a bit low to me though so im not entirely sure of the validity of the info.

Cool move. If it's true. Instead of FUCKING RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE CONSOLES Nintendo is releasing something reasonable. And I doubt the games will cost fucking $60.

Yes, we all know x-box had a plethora of great games... & we've yet to see any screens so don't count the big N out yet.

Since it's pretty clear that the Revolution is not going to compete with the other two consoles on the basis of power, I'm more interested in the other stuff it has to offer, like the controller.
Come to think of it, it might be trying to sell it a low price so that people buy both the PS3 or 360 and the Revolution as well...

Wouldn't it be funny if PS3 failes to launch, and N Revolution actually becomes popular? Well, the chance for that is quite slim, but I still don't see any strong games lining up for Revolution. X360 might be the biggest winner in the end. In US, at least.
