Some trainers must remain opened during the play. Try start the trainer, leave it there, and start the game.

I did. That's why I'm bitching. :D After getting the biggest most bad-ass ship in the game I got on multi. And after figuring that even with a kick ass ping, it's hella laggy I gave up on it.

Cheats are all well and good, but I honestley wouldn't use the money trainer for this game. It adds way way too much and as a result, pushes the "Next Mission Value" to such a rediculous amount that I personally gave up. Anyways, the game isnt dificult, play it proper! ;)

I know the trainer you're talking about and you're halfway there. Once the trainer is in the game folder create a desktop shortcut to it. Start the trainer. Then use the button on the trainer to start the game. Once you're in press m. Nothing happened right? Wrong. Go to the equipment dealer and buy something, anything. Your $ will max out. :)
Now instead of needing 20,000 to advance to the next level. You need a million plus the original 20. Don’t sweat it. The trainer takes care of that too. The trick is that the amount you need to level up isn't based solely on how much money you have but on your net worth. Meaning it takes into account your ship value and all of your equipment too, i.e. missiles, mines, guns etc. So your value might be a mill in cash, 20,000-ship value and another 10 in ammunition.
So what you do is go fight like normal using torpedoes, missiles, nanos etc. Now when you go to restock the trainer comes back into play. When you buy ammo not only do you get it for free because your cash goes to max every time you buy something but your net worth goes up because you bought all that ammunition. So you might be worth a million 30 when you land but after you resupply you’re worth a million 50. The ammo usage and cash reward from one or two missions is usually enough to level up.
Having said all of that I’m going to tell you NOT to use this trainer. Not until you go through the game once. Like mdruce said, the game isn't that difficult, play it proper. Why spend all that money on a game and then finish it in two days, what a waste. I like trainers and cheats as much as anybody but I never EVER use them until I finish the game the right way first. Hope this helps, have fun. :D

*cough* dumb. the trainer I used (when i beat the game) just fakes your money, so you don't REALLY have 125,000,000 dollars, but the game temporarily thinks it so that you don't ned a super huge next mission thing
www.megagames.com they have lots of good trainers
