i'm a gamer, and i honestly can't see the difference between wired and wireless. i tried the razor boomslang for a while and also the dual optical. my cordless optical mouseman seems just as responsive. i'd say everyone has different experiences.

well i know the Optical Mouse Man from Logitech is goood.
i just dont like that shit always change batterie, and when i play online or so and the batterie gets to the end, or you forget to recharge.
thats why i don't like them

ok guys here r answers to all of ur questions , the RECHARGABLE Battery of this lasts more than 45 days and they are 6, two on charging and 4 on use so i can replace them anytime , if u cant replace them after 40 days than i think ur a Lazy Ass :D , other thing this baby works gr8 with games coz in wireless tech there is a infra frequency and there is radio frequency , the wireless mouse or keyboards with infra is a waste of money and the wireless with radio frequency are awesome just like wired stuff (this one is that) and they are more in cost than infra ones and i am a gamer i looked on these topics more than anyone and if u have used Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard , this keyboard and mouse is the match for it and cost logitech pair cost $70 and this one i mentioned above
the other good use i have for it is that i have two pc so my other pc which is about 8feet away from me i can operate it sometimes sitting infront of one pc so i recommend it 100%
Two things always keep in mind when u go to buy a wireless nowadays
1. It should be radio frequency wireless mouse or keyboard
2. It should have rechargable batteries and charger with it

I have tired this pair on MOHAA Spearhead , UNREAL 2003, Quake3 , SOF 2 and Generals up till now and it has the same performance and results i had with my wired optical mouse and keyboard ( i played all these games on LAN not single mode )
so i think u should try it sometime , things in tech dont always remain same they change alot :D

i have the logitech mx700 optical wireless mouse and it works fine no lag that cuz of the radio frequency it travels rather than infared so theres no lag at all, my logitech keyboard however does have some lag when you hit a milliion keys at once but its understood since its kinda older technology. it still does not effect games or anything though since you have to hit a million keys at once right after one another to lag it

radio is at a lower frequency, and gets disrupted more than infrared. most wireless peripherals use RF. i think infrared needs a direct line of sight, but is still MUCH quicker than RF.

RF means radio frequency and infra works like ur TV remote if its pionted away from the senser ur mouse wont work , infra SUCKS man dont say that coz all companies are leaving infra tech and turning over to RF tech

like i said......it needs a direct LOS. but the fact of the matter is, how often does an average user move the keyboard? and companies have been using RF for ages; no switch was involved. i think it's the same 900mhz frequency as everything else.

sushi then what is the logitech mx 700's way of updating the coordinates it sends to the base, cuz i thought it was radio but ur saying its not, im curious, cuz i can move the mouse violently and there is no lag, just exactly like the best mouse u can get's traction

the MX700 uses RF. but what i'm saying is that it doesn't have as much lag as gamers like to think (let them have their stupid wires if it gives them a better feeling of control).
but i posted that response because u had the idea that RF was better than infrared.

Actually, I'm pretty sure they are using 2.4ghz. All the cool kids are doing it these days and 900mhz is way too cluttered up.
[EDIT]Update:I'm sure noone else actually cares, but the mice and keyboards from logitech use 27mhz (same band as some R/C cars, if they aren't using 49mhz) and the joysticks use 2.4ghz. Since the site says something about encyption, I'm assuming that they use digital signal transmission instead of analog (which would be fm or am). Still, i wouldn't put a 27mhz radio control car transmitter in front of the mouse's "base" transciever.
Actually, you should try that for us and see what happens. :D
