At least, I do right now. Not only have I had to eat fast food TWICE in the past two days due to my brother (he has to have his McDonalds), but he has also repeated stupid advertisements for the past year or so. We live in such a greedy society, it isn't funny. Take computer cases. They're absolutely useless: not only do they cause things to heat up easily, they cause dust to collect more easily. And why do we have them? Because your average consumer likes them with cases, and the makers can charge more. I'd take mine off but my dad would get pissed since he knows nothing (not that I know much more)
About my brother, he watches TV constantly. He has memorised every single fucking ad that plays, and ALSO regurgitates them all the time! He's like "You know mom, you should get the Supera Ultra Power Juicer!" And I just have to sit back and hold my tongue out of politeness. He's 7, btw.

Imagine that life is a line with stripes:
black ones:bad times
wight ones:good times
You are now at the black line but soon it will be wight line. So your depression should pass quite soon just dont give up;)

It comes with being the super power, everything comes to whose at the top (not being arrogant). Once America falls (which it will someday, much like the Roman empire) we will become much wiser and not bent on material things and killing eachother(hopefully). We'll be like........ummmm.....the british or canadians :D they are far better than we are with greed and all.

Gentlemen:
If by greed, you mean unbridled materialism, I wouldn't put the U.K. at too much of a disadvantage to ourselves in that regard. Actually, some of the most legendary materialism I've ever witnessed was in Tokyo, which surprised me. But, it could be argued, and quite convincingly I suppose, that this is a by-product of Western influence on post-war Japan.
I prefer to think of it as selfishness rather than greed, although the two are joined at the hip. And, I think it's a trait common to all humans; we don't have exclusive rights to it here in America. We've just somehow seemed to have accepted it a little too easily, IMO. As someone who earns her living in sales, in "moving product", I guess I'm part of the problem. (Yian and RADiator: nice visual-aids, BTW.)
Odm:
As for computer cases; well, if nothing else they serve to keep your younger brother's Happy Meal (tm) from combining with your motherboard and processor, and that's a good thing. :)

Ummm thanks everyone... I wasn't really depressed just angry. And I also wrote it at 12:00, not the best time to write stuff :D
Oh yes, and Rhenna you have a good point with your last point, although it's not so applicable with me as my computer is under the desk.
Anyways, at least I don't eat fast food that often, my parents are sane. But my brother.... he's the reason I'm up so goddamn early.
