Well, I had to go ahead and post this. I know that DNF is on the brink, but it may actually come out before TF2 knowing Valve. And yes, I'm a MechWarrior addict, so I threw that one in there. And considering the fact that MechWarrior 5 hasn't even been announced yet, I assume it will be released before TF2 and DNF.

Hehe... see, see....
Duke Nukem Forever... if you look at the trailer of the game for 2001 ... looks like shit. Utter shit. Grab the quake II trailer of the game back from '99 or '98 when the game was first showcased from FileShack. Anyway, I remember when I was completely awed by the trailer and at the graphics nad everything. I thought nothing could look more lifelike. Now... it's been an assload of time and I've rewatched the trailer. It looks like shit. If it /is/ released it'll still no doubt be an awesome game but will have bugs galore(Although I don't think anything can be buggier than Fallout 2 was on release) and lots of aspects of the game will suffer...
Ugh, another somewhat incoherent rant.
Where's Half-Life 2? TF2 is gone and I'm not really interested in it anymore. Concept sounds boring now. Mech 5 will take just as long as Mech 4 did to develop. I kinda wish it was the '80's or early '90's again when several games from dev team would come be released in a single timeframe and did would not suck.

i think dnf will come out first since take two said the game needed to get out the door quickly. im sure the guys at 3drealms will still manage to make it a cool game, and i heard it would use ut2003 tech so thats a good thing.
tfc2 looks like shit and the most i could hope for is that the game got a huge graphical overhaul. even then, the concept has been seen tons of times like Raxc said and it just woudnt be impressive anymore.
as for MW5, since M$ publishes it, it could be announced and kicked out the door as soon as tommorow, with 3 shity expansions following the days after :P. id highly doubt that though.
my vote is on DNF

Actually, wild guess is that none of these games will ever get released.
TF2 - Silent axe
DNF - They're too afraid to officially announce it's cancellation in fear of what might happen.
MW5 - Exception.

Well, let's see. There's already an "until the winds of discontent came blowing in from Terra" or some such thing at the end of MechWarrior: Mercenaries, so it seems pretty safe to say that there will be SOME MW-related title in 2003; I just hope they spike the game-engine next time around. TFC2 is toast, I think. I mean, there's still a lot of TF servers goin' strong, but I think with CS, Tac Ops, America's Army, DOD, etc., that whole scene is pretty well covered. (Although I do hope Viet Cong finds a niche for itself.) The Dukester? I can't count 'im out. I can't friggin' imagine ANYTHING that would take 3DRealms this long, but I haven't coded too many FPS, either. Can't imagine why someone would expect the thing to be buggy. Last I heard they were using, at most, the UT-era Unreal engine, and I'd think that would be pretty much a known quantity. Damn, I'm gonna dig DN3D out of the archives right now!http://www.housedavion.com/davion.gif
