Sonny boy let me tell you something, you forgot ibm's oses! Now, in my day, those were some pretty unsuccessfull but not too bad OSes! I tell ya, OS/2 warp had MahJong as the free game! Now that is innovation! :D

maybe cause it was on a store bought PC. in any case, a majority of users had problems with ME. i, on the other hand, found to be MUCh better than 98SE. i just figured they didn't feel like tweaking it or trying to make it work right (which, you shouldn't have to, but it does end up being better than 98se for me).

95...cuz 98 they fixed all the probs with it, and it is the most reliable low resource using os I know of(choose it for just the os capabilities and if you dont need features). XP has too many features, and slows the system down with its resource hogging crap. But its reliable, and thats why Im using it. 98 gave blue screen too much during games, but now that I think about it, xp does it just as much.

Well, Win3.1 isn't an operating system. Win95 doesn't know an AGP card from a doorknob, and it's USB support is little more than some cobbled-together hack. But, since all that was post Win95 stuff, I guess that's unfair. The turkey I was looking for in that list was WinNT. Even in a business environment it was a pain to use, especially with regard to maintenance. My thoughts re: Win98 and XP are similar to IkYiolul's, except I've rarely had Win98SE blue-screen on me. I wouldn't want ANY of them running life-support on a Mars mission or anything. :)

Me is painfully bad. It's like Gates was saying "it's all about Me.". A non techie coworker of mine has it and she keeps on skrewing it up. >_< being tech support for free sucks.

It's sad I couldn't put them all on there. ME was a wierd operating system at times. Sometimes it worked great other times it would totally fail for no good reason and stop working (literally). XP isn't perfect either. None so far are perfect except maybe for Linux and it can't be the main OS for most people for obvious reasons. therefore it isn't perfect

My friend has ME and it deosn't even run some games, it just won't there is no support for them, even though they ran on 98.

ME was the biggest load of shit ever, people who think any other operating system was worse have obvously never tried or seen windows Me in action. I would rather use DOS than ME, speaking of DOS i have never witnessed a crash while useing it :D

I cannot agree with your opinion that ME is shit.

I have it for years now (not on my own PC though but on many other PCs) and it runs very smoothly. It has A LOT more functions that 98, more stable, loads faster, shuts down very quick, no problem with compatibility, looks better... actually I love ME!

ME sucks because it is 98 based. IN fact, ME and 98 is exactly the same thing, but ME has some more window dressing. ME is great if you don't play games, don't use photoshop, just surf the internet or typing some essays. Anything heavier than that, ME crashes. XP never do stupid things, and I like XP.

Lol! hehe I used ME for 6 months. Lasth month I upgraded to XP. and I like XP better. ME is good, but it has lots of bugs.
