Given I'm putting a lot of time into this game as of late, I decided it would be proper to create a thread around it:

Basically, I'm just curious who has played it and what were their impressions. So far, I'm really not enjoying this graphical style relative to Twighlight Princess, but it's still much nicer than the N64 counterparts. It has obvious style, lots of great facial expressions, and interesting gameplay. That last one was mentioned because I've only induldged in the N64 versions for 5 minutes tops, before moving on as the graphics and terribly slow start just couldn't hold me. I've put a few hours into the game so far, just having passed the part where you wake up and meet your boat. That's a silly boat by the way. I'm hoping the enemies spice up this battle system, because as it is I don't see much room for interest outside of the occasional block followed up by B+B+B+B (edit: then again, I forgot that Link gets tons of new weapons). It's annoying how the spin attack could be useful, but you're forced to attack before releasing B, which makes it much too clunky. Only other thing that jumped into my head in terms of annoyances is that the characters don't actually talk. The lack of voice is really awkward and leaves me dozing off during cutscenes.

On a side note, anyone know how long this game is?

I enjoyed it (the game and the graphical style). It's fairly long, but most of the end game is only lengthly because of all the goddamn sea traveling you do (and you do a lot of traveling).

Lack of voice acting doesn't bother me, unlike the majority of todays youth I can actually read.

Regular combat is uninteresting, but boss battles are neat.

Yeah, I was pissed when the bird just tossed me away... All that work and no moneyshot.

That first boss battle was unintuitive, and as a result was frustrating.

At first I figure I need to hit him when he gets close and attempts to charge up his flame attack, but he has an eye lid. I try grappling his eye from a distance, but there's no grapple indicator, so it misses. Finally the game offers a hint that I need to swing around, so I latch onto the tail three times and his shell breaks. Great, that's done. I try it again but the cieling stops falling. Que? I guess the roof trick fizzled, so now I need to do something else. His eyelid is gone, so I figure I need to slash at the right time, but sadly he can now bite me for whatever reason, and I'm stuck. I don't bother grappling his eye given I tried it before and recieved no indicator. After trying everything else under the sun, I finally try it on a whim while near death and find that it works. It pins him down or something, and appears to do damage. I try it again, but he just gets up. Que? Apparently sword attacks are necessary after that, but I'm already dead.

Now that's angst :p

Luckily, I had no trouble the second time.

And, on another note, the lava in this game is beautiful.

People can yak all day long about the graphics and whether or not they like them, but this WW is still a great fucking game. The new fighting system is a definite improvement in my mind. My only problem with the game is that its too easy. I only died once while playing (at the hundred level cave). In a Zelda game, I should die no fewer than ten times, and love every minute of it. But that's just me.
