Has anyone played the demo from the main site this week?


So far it's not bad, visuals and control wise it reminds me of a Freelance/X2 clone. The biggest joy factor that I got from the game is how easy it was to get use to the controls, everything is simple in this game.. the combat, trading, economy, choosing your destiny.. I found other games such as EveOnline to be more challenging in those areas, this game should be easy enough for anyone to get into, as simple as it is it draws me in though. I'll be buying this one for sure.

Overall simplicity of the game

Voice acting
Character animations
Decent eyecandy but the engine looks dated

The voiceacting sounds just a little contrived, but other than that seems ok.

The game is a little too simplistic for my tastes, and the fact that you're stuck with the same ship for the whole game (upgrades notwithstanding) doesn't help much.

The demo ran like a dancing Audrey Hepburn on my POS rig (she shakes. A lot.), although it barely exceeds the minimum specs. Once the final is released and there's some feedback on it I'll decide on upgrading cause this is exactly the type of game that'll get my ass to drop loot on a new machine. So far, it sounds nice.

So far and still so good.. I was looking through the upgrade tree and the ship and it's weapons have alot of upgrades.. they say about 200 possible upgrade and I saw alot.


My biggest quarrel is the fact that some of the missions are extremely repetitive, then again the demo is limited to only one of twenty clusters.. I will admit that the game now seems extremely simple but i'm sure that it will differ in the full game once I get to explore other sectors.. anyway i'll be buying it for sure.
