it's been two long years since i've visited this cesspool of despair and sexual frustration.

work flew by... the gang did an amazing job on the new 3 series, many are saying it's better than ever (though between you and me, i still love the e30). if there are any car aficionados reading: wait until you see what we did with the new m3, all that i'll say is that the drivetrain, and suspension rock.

i'm vaguely disappointed how funny canada has become in the last 700 days, give or take: we have a spineless bushsucker for a prime minister telling us that 'we share the same threats to our security' as the u.s., as if wishing - and a suspicious 'terrorist training camp' smackdown in south-central ontario - makes it so; kids were caught pissing on the war memorial, but they were really drunk and they're super sorry; forest fires are raging across western canada and scientists have dicovered that maybe our warming climate has something to do with it, gee really?; afghanistan is going really well, now that the canadian soldiers are in kandahar for target practice; the softwood lumber issue was finally resolved, but, oh wait, either side can back out on a whim....

anyway, i'm glad to see that, at least on a cursory glance, the forums have not devolved... any further ;)

*sigh* what sucks is that just as i finally settle into peaceful cottage life, lazy and carefree, it's off to fucking tokyo on the 26th! japan for a year! yippee!

i'll agree with you that the e46 is much less busy in terms of exterior styling, but i disagree that the e90 is ugly, in fact i think the styling is quite progressive. the 'bangle' cues - from the e65 and e60 - are toned right down, though some of the contemporary colors do not flatter it's proportions as well as others (havanna and deep green come to mind).

you gotta admit that the 'bangle' styling works well for the e63 (both standard and m model) as well as the new m coupe.

never mind the m5. i have a special place in my heart for that car.

i hope you change your mind when the new m3 rolls out.
