Is there any way to break digital rights management on music?
I recently upgraded my OS and now windows media player says that I dont have access to my songs. I have 100+gigs of music and really dont want to buy them all over again.

yea, burn it to cd, then re-rip all of them.. I bought the prey soundtrack, and it forces you to install drm certs as well as limiting you to 4 pcs which you can install/listen to them. DUB TEE EFF

google tunebite. Though it works only when you're able to play your songs, it digitally records your DRM fitted songs and spits out clean mp3's. Excellen for subcription services.

Yes I rented it yesterday.
Do you play PGR3? If you have it we should race sometime.

Not being able to access songs you've paid for is awesome. DRM ftw!

Whoa, this can actually happen? Corporate greed is awesome.
I am pretty DRM illiterate since almost all the music I listen to is classic rock which I ripped from CDs like 8 years ago.

I had problems like this with Napster and a few other pay for music programs, I paid for music but then I couldn't transfer it between my various hardware devices.. so yeah I went back to warez.

How can you be so proud of not supporting the people who created these music and software.
you know ratboy. you're nothing more than human waste. If they won't ban you from the forums I wish India would finally hurry up and nuke your country.
I swear, if there really were a God he would not have missed you with last year's trunami.

problem with what you say is that 90% of the profits goes to the label and owners...
music could have been much cheaper without the artist ever feeling the diference.. and soon you'll not own the music you buy anymore... its going to be like: Pay just 50$ and you get to listen 4 !!! times! 50% off...
I buy my music.. tho never drm shite

look - we all do our part in pirating all kinds of stuff and doing illegal shit everywhere in the world.
BUT
Being so nonchalant and arrogant about being an all out thief is just fucking sick.

Did you try playing them with Winamp? I don't think it has DRM software installed.

I don't know how a tard like you came off my ignore list but they don't release any sort of movies, games, software, music or anything here. So yes, paying for something that doesn't even arrive in my country by importing can kiss my ass. And congratulations, you are back on my ignore tards list.

Same. I tried iTunes once, it sucked. I have a JB hifi down the road now, they always have decent (although older) CDs for less than $15

Pandora satisfies all my musical needs nowadays. God, I hope they don't start charging.
