I'm 16, 6'1, I'm on the tennis team, I hike 30 miles every weekend, I fool around with lots and lots of young teenage girls, I was in the gifted programs as a child, and I go to the hardest private school in the state. The computer is not anything I hide behind, I actually do not spend that much time playing games, I use it to work. $7000.00 to be exact and yes for home use it would be dumb to spend that much . these comps are bought by the multimedia company I own. We have a staff of 9 people using all gateways and or powerpc (mac). Its a 3d multimedia company, specializing in 3D animation, film editing and music, and hopefully if we can find a publisher, video games. Thats why i like posting on AT to see what people like and dont like a video games. The company is also co-owned by one of my best friends who is a mac specialist so we cover both ends of everything. When our new website is posted I will let you guys know if your interested..

Also when you are using programs like 3D Studio max or protools, you need the power....

When it comes down to it, discreet products and maya kickass, so does solidworks...

ibanez7, when you post PC specs on the AT forums, you need to understand those specs are subject to some scrutiny. When you say "2 500gig ata 100 harddrives", the number "2" should mean, like, two. If you said, "4 250Gb ata 100 harddrives", guess what? It's the same number of keystrokes.

If I told you I had "2 50-inch LCD monitors" and you ask me, "who makes 50-inch LCD monitors?", and I come back with:

great question. Reason for the customization is: A. the company is owned by me, so it only cost me money.. B. we like to have fun at work. C. the business is in entertainment industry. D. We host lan parties at work too. E. also I've worked for companies in the past where they sit you in a cube with a dingy white machine and say work, that sucks.
At my company we like to have fun. Its promotes more work and equal respect.

For example on nice days we move work outside set up the comps, office and enjoy the weather.

thanks for the luck. Secondly I'm not makeing the website my partner is. the only thing I know about creating site and comp programming is that I hate it. My specialty is 2d,3d animation, all graphics, music/pro tools, and 3D cad programs. My partner is wan/lan adminstration, web disign, cold fusion, tango, digital film. so it works out well.....

there will actually be two sites one for the company the other for my bands. Both will be posted soon......

Well let's just say you DO move your shit outside. You work like say from 9 till 5. You arrive at work, start moving PC's, screens, cables, desks and chairs out, by the time you're done with that it HAS to be like 10:30 then you work till 3:30 because you have to move the shit back inside. Knowing that working with computers requires several breaks you might work like 4 hours a day and I don't think that's reallistic.

BTW: your story about the girlfriend, registering another user or letting a friend of you registering to back up your story is like the oldest trick in the book.

And for your information I'm not 16 I'm 20 meaning I have enough experience in life to see through your pathetic bullshit! I think you're just some 14 year old punk thinking he's cool by saying this like this! I truly feel sorry for you!!

And yes I've been in the music scene for quite some time, its my first love. Animation/engineering just pays more money and is fun. Unless you get the wholly grail of record deals.

Also I've been playing guitar and piano for the last 16 yrs, studied, classical(bach), blues, metal, fusion, jazz, bluegrass. Took lessons from Dave Shankle ex Manawar guitarist out of chicago.
Attended Roosevelt college for music also.

The music I play in a band is a mix of classical(pagnini)/metal, more on the dark eerie sound. My solo work is more along the lines of Buckethead and steve vai..

I play exclusivley ibanez guitars(k7, jem, rg520qs) all equiped with double locking tremelos, evolutions neck pick up, and seymour duncun dimebage bridge pick up. Mesa triple rectifiers and line 6 amps, effects are Morely bad horsie 2 wha, digitech 2120 preamps and effects, BBE sonic maximizer, Evintide Harmonizers, Digitech whammy pedal with octavier, with monster cables.

so if you asked me to play blues solo in the key of A major spanning 7 positions, or play a classical solo in d#minor ending in the harmonic minor of G, sweeping though a 6 position arpeggio while played in an odd time signiture of 7/8, using a volume pedal to control a nice ascending crescenda, ending on a double hand tapped pinch harmonic shaking a nice vibrato..... yeah I could....

Music, computers, business, cars and motorcycles are what I'm into oh and girls.

Yes moving comps outside does requier work, but we are usually set up within 30mins, its not like we work off a server, we work off our local HD, (with frequent back ups) so we can plug into an outside electrical box, for internet, run to a netgear switch to a T1. As far as desk and chair we have picnic tables set up already..Its simple, just dont limit your self. We like to have fun at work, think outside the corporate office.

Radiator, excellent question. Asking which is better Studio max or Maya is like chevy vs ford, american cars vs import, pc vs mac.

I prefer 3D studio max 5 over Maya, more companies utiilize max and max is also easier to learn. (doesnt mean max sucks or is an easy program)(max is very poweful very awesome, especially using reactor the physic generator)

Maya has a steep learning curve but its well worth it. Mayas character studio, seems to be more intelligent for sake of words too. Requiers less tweaking on any key frame movement. Maya's, bones and constraints system works more natural when involving movement where as said before, max requiers more tweaking in its character studio. theres more pros and cons but if you have any questions, I'll try to answer.... both programs to me are wieghted out equally....

Cool shit about the band though - Oz has had some really fucking cool bands. Is yours any good? I remember a band called indigo or some shit. Yeah, Oz does have some good bands, I'm in a band called humanizerr and (not to boast) yes my band is good. We aren't one of those shitty stoner bands that just get together once in a while and write shitty songs, then play at shit venues infront of a 20 punter crowd; we get together once a week (or even twice a week) for rehearsal, and play good gigs usually infront of 200-500 people (it just depends, some times even 1000+).I actually played a gig last night at a place called Revolver Upstairs. It wasn't a bad gig, but, I don't like playing at clubs.
The band I'm in has been playing for about 2 years now. We are hopefully releasing the E.P. today or tomorrow. It'll be called Section 12.

We have a little shitty site at the moment = www.humanizerr.8m.com

Soon I'm gonna build a proffesional site in Flash...

So, yeah, that's a bit of info on my band...
