What's it about?

Yakuza - Japanese mob by the way
Kiryu Kazuma – a former rising star in the Yakuza who is rebuilding his life after serving a 10-year prison term for murder – suddenly finds himself caught in a spiraling underworld plot involving a mysterious girl known as Haruka and a missing $100 million. Kazuma must use his fists and his wits to stay alive as he unravels the complex web of truth and lies that surrounds the notorious Yakuza.
The game's not bad as long you're a fan of cinematic stuff. Gameplay is pure beat 'em up, with a little bit of free roaming thrown in.
How's your 360 treating you btw?

It sounds pretty good
The few games I have played on it have been pretty fun. The problem is there are not that many games for the 360 that I like. I'm more into RPGs, beat 'em up , stuff like that. The 360 games are mostly sports, racing and army/war stuff (which my husband is more into.) I got one game that somebody recommended that I haven't even played yet. Enchanted Arms, ever heard of it?

Can't say I have, but if you're into RPGs, there's Oblivion for the 360 and as far as beat 'em ups is concerned there's DOA4 as well.
And I'm sure games are pretty steep in the States too, so you could satiate those beat em up pangs with the above mentioned games, for the time being :)

If you're into RPGs, like very into them, get it.
It's subpar at best, but it'll definitely fill that void.

Is DOA Dead or Alive? Kinda like Mortal Combat?

Yeah DoA4 is Dead or Alive, and it's more like Tekken than Mortal Kombat

I've played a DoA on the 360. Don't know if it was 4 or what. I rented it. Husband got mad cause I beat the shit out of him (I had no idea what I was doing at the time either :) ) I'll probably end up buying it though.

Ya know I think women are naturally good at beat 'em ups ;)
And what you played on the 360 was DoA4 only. As of now, you should stick to your PS2 for the beat 'em up genre; there's tons of stuff on that.
