From what I've seen of the 360 port it looks the same as the PC version running on a high-end rig (maybe slightly lower resolution textures). So yes, it does look as ugly on PC. While the game is technically sound, I found the artwork to be incredibly bland and I dislike the way the engine renders lighting (although Condemned was an improvement).

I have the same problem with Perfect Dark Zero. The game engine is technically sound, but the artwork is so bland and clean that it negates any positive visual elements that the various shader effects and normal mapped surfaces add.

Perfect Dark Zero has a good engine like you said Ray, unfortunantly they could have made an extremely realistic game with it but instead opted for the cartoonish game that completely destroyed the PD franchise.

According to an interview, FEAR is supposed to look superior on the 360.

I'll have to find the link, but apparently the demo isn't an indicator of the final product.

I'm leery, though.

i played the demo and was just disapointed with the way it looked. that is the only thing holding me back from buing it when it comes out. Pretty fun game nontheless. Reminded me of Condemned
