The US has been ready to go to war with NK for a long time, Iran also.. all we need to do is provoke them into making the first move.. plus i'm sick of the current shows on the cable networks, at least with a real war going on CNN would provide me with countless hours of entertainment.

Get real, they're not going to invade North Korea.

They say Iraq has weapons of mass destruction when they know they don't, using it is a justification for the raping and pillaging. The didn't even give Saddam time to shit his pants - one second they're like "hey, Saddam's an asshole, he could have chemical weapons" the next, they're in his back yard.

But then Kim Jong does produce a weapon of real mass destruction, and so far all the US has done is swagger around and shout loudly, but there's no hint of military action. Why would they attack? There's no oil in North Korea, the region presents no strategic advantage to the US. The Middle East has all of that.

If anyone's going to get bombed, it's Iran and Pakistan.

Iran won't get bombed, neither will Pakistan (not by the US at least). The US is stuck in Iraq for the time being and doesn't have the available force and more importantly the political capital to do so. And Pakistan is currently in the good books.
Not everyone accepts the hypothesis that the US invaded Iraq for oil. Its too convenient an explanation. See Gwyn Dyer's book "Future Tense". His basic premise is that the US invaded Iraq to maintain hegemony over the global system by proving their muscle. I don't know whether Bush et al really believe in their own bullshit, but they sure didn't listen to any number of people who told them that Iraq would end up being a guerilla shit storm.

Latest update: Kim Jong Il is reportedly "so so sowy" about last weeks nuclear test and says there won't be another which begs the question: just what did those Chinese diplomats say? "We'll give you 10 000 virgins if you don't do another test". That would convice me.

I havent dug up a topic ever in my exsistance on this forum and im sorry for doing this with only 2 things to say. Ive been gone for a week, havent been near a computer, and weather it should be said or not ide like to voice my opinion.

1) IF the US went to war w/NK who do you think NK would attack first? US???? No, they would attack South Korea, who would be hurt way worse then the US would be. They're closer, weaker, and really dont like each other anyway. Plus that would force the US to resupply and protect the people of yet another country. Which would screw ours up even more. Im pretty damned sure SK had a rather large say in weather or not the US would be doing anything about it.

2) The US would be stupid to go attack or prevoke the NK's into war for the simple fact that the US would then be fighting 2 wars at once and on opposite sides of the world to boot. That means a shit load more funding going to the war(s). Which in turn means the US would go under and fall with or w/out the help of allies. And for the simple fact that the economy would take a major hit...im pretty sure there would be huge rations and gas would then be almost impossible to purchase. I would discuss/elaborate a bit more but im sure half of you didnt even read it all, and to the other half...im hungry so im stopping there and going to go eat.

Oh please, the US wont attack a country that actualy has WMD's, theres too high a chance theyl use them with too little prfoit involved. I mean seriously, if all evidence pointed to the US government that Iraq did not have WMD's and yet they still went in, why would that be?

Moe money. When ever the Economy has begun to stagnate in the american society, they have suddenly gone to war with someone. war produces hundreds of jobs, and if it seems to be for a just cause, unemployment drops by a percentage.


Besides, Look at the targets, Suddam looks like he could eassily be made into a bitch, Jonn il, or, whater ever his name is, is far too baby faced for America's likeing, its like slapping a child, over all enjoyable, but not good to have the neighbours see.
