I just realised that even windows 2000 doesn't clean out the registry when a program is uninstalled. I found about 5 folders, each with many folders inside, and information and crap AFTER I UNINSTALLED THE PROG. Win2000 slowly turns to shit, and so has every other version of Windows i've ever used. Why is this? Don't say "omfgz it's microsoft, omfgz DUHHH!!" cuz it's not what i'm looking for. I want to know WHY windows turns to shit, not a conspiracy that Microsoft wants you to buy the next product.

Windows turns to crap on every computer, and it deals with RAM slower every time you boot, and it can't do as many programs at once every time you boot, etc. What is this?

There's a lot to it and I only know a little. Part of it is what you said, the registry is a fucking mess. Half the programs don't delete registry entries when you uninstall them, which leads to registry bloat. A bloated registry takes longer to parse, which slows down system response time whenever the registry is accessed, which is fairly frequently.

Another problem is the whole DLL system. Dynamically Linked Libraries were originally designed as a way for different software programs to share redundant code. This was helpful back in the days when hard disk memory was small and expensive, but totally useless now. That redundant code is deposited in a DLL file and stored in a common directory (usually Windows\system(32)) where any other program could access it. The problem is that newer software overwrites older DLL's, breaking those DLL's for older software in various ways. MS is trying to get rid of the DLL system now, but it's nearly impossible to do that and maintain backwards compatibility.

There's a lot more, and you can find most it by Googling "What's wrong with windows".
