Yes, isn't. It's bugged unholy. CTF is broken, optimization is shit. If this is the game after the latest patch, I will cry. I guess I'll find out come February.

It is. The demo is 1.03, and the Czech version is only at 1.02.

Which boades ill as they already optimized it in 1.02...

Unless we start at 1.03, but I'm doubting it.

As you can see by my thread at Rage3D, we're not going to get a large community again.

The initial rage of my hopes being crushed has faded, and my thoughts on the game are still negative. What did they actually do during development time? The AI is still useless in CQB, which unfortunately happens to be a large part of modern warfare. The interface, as already mentioned, is primitive. Issuing orders is as retarded as it has always been, with the same tedious radio chatter to drive you nuts.

They completely ignored the things from OFP that needed fixing, and simply added fancy graphics (that most people can't even run) and a new island. I loved OFP, it's one of my favorite games of all time, but OFP 1.5 is not a good thing. I guess its redeeming quality is proper multiplayer. OFP's multiplayer was pretty useless, but the current multiplayer is nothing a patch can't fix. It could turn into a pretty sweet game if played with a team, and not just random server hopping. It's only the second game I can think of where it's worth it to bother looking for a clan, the first being America's Army.

And yeah, I'm still buying it. Go fuck yourself.

Oh, I almost forgot. Is there a way to turn off the "Reload" icon in the options? I hope I'm just not seeing it. It sucks to have an icon. I like finding out I have no ammo when I pull the trigger and hear nothing but a clicking noise to tell me I'm fucked.

It sure is pretty, but they've added some really annoying fucking things and left some really annoying things. Firstly, if you are near a corpse, there is no way to reload as far as I can tell. The only option is to pick up his gun, its lame. The old system was fine in that regard, middle mouse for options, no defaults. You also can't reload the guns inside hummers... wtf? But damn, its pretty.

Also! Zomg it takes a long time to go prone, like a good 2-3 seconds... not cool.

Oh joy, it doesn't run in Vista, gives a directx error. http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_30 Just pop that in your ArmA folder if you need to.

You can hit "r". "r" reloads.

And another issue is that if I hit the prone key while running forward, I keep running instead of going fully prone. It's not simulating diving forward onto my belly, it's simulation running forward while doubled over, your head next to your knees.

r doesn't reload inside the humvee for some reason.

Thats what I meant about the prone time. Best thing I've found is just to quickly stop moving forward then hit prone, goes down much faster.
