I'm gonna buy a copy of that book at the bottom and send it to that retard Jay Leno. Well, not really since he wouldn't bother reading it and it would just be a waste of time.
Just to bring this more up to date, what do you think the chances are that Iraq will turn into serbia in a drier climate? (I mean, a Sunni dude will take over and start cappin' suffis like it's going out of style?)

How many of you have actually been to France? I have, and I found that it was similar to many places, including Austria (where I live), some assholes and some really nice people.

Yup, odm is right, there are assholes all over. Living in hawaii, I see all types of people from all over the world. Although I think europeans are more polite, there are more than a few assholes out there. I have yet to meet a mean Aussie. Never thought about that.

no, the cafeteria in the white house changed the name to "freedom fries". haven't heard about the military, but i'm sure they followed. french toast has also been renamed (french kiss pending).

My current theory is that he thinks that there's going to be some sort of French wine dumping like the Boston Tea Party.
Though I can't comprehend what the "orange-red" thing is about.
In response:
First, I agree with you that it's stupid. They're going for symbolic value, though.
Second, as much as I try not to get all teacher-ish on this forum, your point would be a lot more legible and, um, understandable if you inserted the relevant commas and such.
Of course, from a utilitarian perspective, wine dumping works, to an extent. It doesn't cause pain to the French, because they still make their profits. It doesn't hurt the dumpers, because they derive more pleasure from the dumping than pain from their loss. And it doesn't hurt the other people because they can still theoretically buy French wine. Now if the dumpers buy all of the wine, that might be different story. Doing that violates Locke's rules for property, because you aren't leaving as much or as good.
Now, the only question that remains to evaluate the overall utility of wine dumping is whether wine can act as a fertilizer. If it does, then it's straight ahead on the John Stuart Mill Express!
