For looking at the game! This game is in development...actually, this is just a prototype, not even Beta yet. We are currently working on some major additions. Thanks again for taking a look!
Best.

I played it, and in its current state, its not very good. Not that its bad, but its a little boring. I also ran into a weird problem, when i opened the settings menu (or any other large menu) the frame rate would drop like crazy (i'd say about 5-10FPS), and that shouldn't be happening because i have a mid-ranged system. Also, i would like to know if you plan to make any major additions to the game, like being able to explore the solar system a little, or being able to go to some type of mother ship and talk to NPC's. Floating around an asteriod and gathering minerials gets a little boring after about 15-20 minutes. I also had another problem, it wouldn't let me change the resolution. I tried editing the INI and setting it through the (really slow) in-game menu, but neither worked.
In case you need/want to know, this is my system:
Athlon XP 2000+.
GeForce 3 Ti-200 (Overclocked a little), 43.45 Dets.
Asus A78NX mobo (Non-deluxe).
256Megs PC-2700 DDR.
WinXP Pro
DirectX 9.0

Maybe 10fps...
Computer:
AMD Athlon XP 2400+ (2.0 GHZ)
512mb DDR 333
GeForce 4 Ti 4600
120GB WD Special Edition
Sony DRU-500a DVD burner (I think that's the model #)
Sony 40x12x32 CD Burner
Onboard sound (all other sound cards I've used don't work, including SB Audigy)
450Watt Truepower supply
3com Hardware Fax/Data modem
Logitech MX700 Mouse
Windows XP PRO
Sony 21' Trinitron Monitor

Yeah, it lags a lot. And some weird things always pop up, obstructing your vision (see pic) Also, the tranfer rate is a bit slow, but that might be because of lag... Overall, pretty fun.
Ed- I just noticed now that if you come back from the options menu, you can't do anything.
(now what is this supposed to be???):

Lagging prolly has to do with memory leeks. Not as bad as memory legumes though.

wow, i wouldn't have expected texture corruption in a game like this.

You should expect texture corruption everywhere! See, the corruption of textures spreads just like the creep from warcraft 3/ starcraft.

Hey all,
Yep...there will be additions. This is just a prototype. Proof of concept.
You guys are getting some real funny looking screen captures. I would guess that it is a vid card memory issue. I would not try this with anything less than 32MB...64 is better. The release game will have settings of course. You can see how it is supposed to look on the site:

We have a bunch of screenshots. Thank you for trying out the prototype! It really helps us develope the game at this early stage. Give us feedback in our forums if you get the time.
Best,
