Could be worse:

You could live in Iran, where the film will not be shown due to alleged slights on their people. However it my viewing of the film these slights were not so much slights as, "Hey, they're invading, we should stop them!". Hardly offensive, especially considering it has some groundings in historical fact.

Heh. I heard alot about that Iran bit as well; there is just so much wrong with that that it's not even funny. Apart from the fact that the movie never touted itself as historical - Frank Miller said as much, and he based the graphic novel heavily on The 300 Spartans, the real Spartans generally went into battle not half naked, but so weighed down with bronze armor they could hardly move, etc ... apart from all of this, I honestly think that ninety percent of the United States wouldn't even have known that Persia was in any way associated with Iran until they brought it up.

Yea this movie rocked hard. The blood was awesome, how it just squirted out of everything. The boobs were quite nice. And the fighting was so tight.

They should make a new movie, just with more boobs, and less her getting screwed by some guy but not showing... and no more humpback....

I delight in telling people who are going ape-shit over this movie all about how Spartan warriors were some of the most enthusiastic homosexuals in all of ancient Greece.

Sort of puts a whole new perspective on all of those rippling pecs and glistening abs in the movie.

It was good. i just don't get whats the deal with that side story of his wife and council. that wasn't in the originals. Oh well I just skipped them and moved on. All in all. Pretty good. Like the actor they picked for Leonidas. Immortals where nice. That albino giant was out of place though.

In any case those added scenes where filler and had no place being in the movie. Than again I suppose the story itself is rather thin so they needed the extra bulk to fill in the 2 hour. Which I dint think they've met anyways.

I suppose I can see where they're coming from with it. He does come off as an arrogant asshole who has little to no idea how to properly lead an army. But its ironic, i didn't hear them complaining when the comic books came out...

their religion states there can be no depictions of muhammad because he didnt want people to make him into an idol. Kinda like the whole golden cow thing.


That or it could be the fact that the movie show nipples, and women not covered from head to toe. Wich also doesnt coincide with their religion.


For instance, if you where to take a ladies magazine in to Iran when you got them back, youd find every bit of skin on a female picture would be "Black markered" out of existance.

Actually it was banned simply because it was a not-so-nice look at Persians. And sadly, they have to power to whitewash history, so they do it. I hate it, but history is written by the victor and such.
