I don't know if this has been asked before or not. If so, then I am sorry.

1. Are avatars the picture under your name?

2. Do you need a certain amount of posts before you can add
one?

you go under User Cp and insert one, it must be a certian size tho. :)

User CP -> Edit Options -> Other options -> change avatar -> browse for the file you want to upload.

just serch for images at altavista or google or whatever... THen you find a pic you like, resize it in your photo editing program, and upload it here.

search for AIM icons on google, they're about then same as avatars but 50x50 pixles.

What I like:
Anime- just about anything Sailor Moon. (don't laugh! I know
it's cheesy. My daughter was watching it one day and
I walked in and started to watch it with her and I've
been watching it ever since.

Fantasy- dragons, unicorns, pegasus

how hard would it be to animate it?

You could download photoshop off of Kazaa, but that would be illegal. If you were to do that, I'd suggest photoshop elements.

Getting photoshop just to make a 80x80 pixels avatar? Way over-kill!!!! Paint is more than enough!!:cool:

It is overkill, but it's much easier in photoshop.

To make an avatar (the why I did it), open up a picture in paint, select what you want (try to make it square), and drag it into the upper left hand corner. Make it a bit big because you can always crop some off. Goto attributes, and change those numbers to 80x80 Pixels. If your image is too big, undo, select it, and make it smaller by clicking on a corner of the selection, hold shift, and make it smaller. Once you have what you want at 80x80, you're done.
