When i try and import a large ammount of songs into itunes i get the windows error report thing. On my old computer this wouldn't happen.. i have so much music i can't be arsed to do it album by album..
Does anyone know the solution?
Or does anyone know other good media players? I don't like winamp very much.
And does anyone know a good free virus scanner? Antivir sucks.

Until amarok gets ported to Windows, I'm sticking with WMP (still 10). It handles large collections better than anything I've found, has the easiest method of navigation (expanding trees), and has a quick-playlist feature for assembling some tunes to listen to quickly.

Can you easily make subplaylists like in itunes? In winamp their playlist feature sucks.

I've just never seen an interface as clean as WMP. I can quickly navigate through the tree, find an artist/album and right-click and add it to the quick playlist, save the playlist later if I want....its all a lot easier to do than scrolling through iTunes slow and inefficient system.

Try musikCube. It does everything you cite, only even better than WMP 10 (at least imo).
I actually don't use it anymore, preferring iTunes, but it's a nice player for its simplicity and efficiency.

Yeah, I gave that a try once, too. Wasn't a fan.

What didn't you like about it? I've always appreciated how little system resource it uses up compared to other players, and how easy it is to update your library. I still use it every once in awhile whenever I want to play a game while listening to mp3's. And of course it has that "dynamic playlist" crap that so many players act like is such a big deal (I think iTunes calls them "smart playlists"), although I've never much cared about that sort of thing, personally.
The only real down-side I can see is that it doesn't do much in the way of aesthetics. But that's what you have to expect with a player that specifically tries to be light on the CPU usage and memory signature.

Hmm i get the error report when i add .m3u files which are inside some of the albums i got to the itunes.
Don't know how to fix unless i look for all the .m3u files and delete them.
