What are yours? Maybe you can remind me of any sweet bands i've forgotten:

Here are mine:

In Flames
Rise Against
Disturbed
Infected Mushroom
Soil
System of a down
Pendulum - SEEN
Linkin Park
Spineshank
Slipknot
Jedi Mind Tricks
Billy Talent - SEEN
Static X?
Zebrahead?

Stuff like Meat Loaf i really love to listen to but i can't really be assed to go to their gigs, it wouldn't be that great imo. I've quite alot of bands but none of them really cut it onto the list with those other dudes.

That's so fucking weird.. I had them on my list then took them off as i saw some videos of their gigs and its not very active.. lots of old long haired rockers and few chicks.. not moshing etc. I saw stratovarius asnd hammerfall live.. boring as fuck gig.. no moshing and everyone was old nad wearing leather jackets and there were about 2 girls in the whole crowd -.-

I might add venetian snares on there.. they have some wicked tunes but also some shitty ones.

I listned to a bit of nine inch nails on my friends ipod and didn't think they're that sick, but alot of people rave about em so i might download some of their shiz.

All of the grunge acts.
I had the chance to see Pearl Jam a few years ago and didn't take it, I've been kicking myself ever since. Saw Audioslave, and they played some of Soundgarden and Rage. Now I just need to ressurect Kurt Kobain and Lane Staley.

Only Long shot: Rammstein

Bad Religion: locals, and they got a new album coming out.
Smashing Pumpkins: Second chance with new album, except lack of D'arcy and Mr. Asian kind of weakens the experience.

Otherwise I'm set. I originally wanted to see Soundgarden when I was young, but they broke up, and I wasn't a massive fan of Audioslave so pfft. Though last month I saw Chris Cornell so all's well.

I'm not very into music, but if Mandy Moore is going to organize a band in the future, I will definitely go see it. Too bad it is probably not going to happen, since she can't sing or dance for crap.

What do you mean with long shot?

They've had a year brake, but is back together and writing new songs again now... I was beginning to fear they had broken up, cause one of the guitar players have started a new band (Emigrate).

Too bad for you USA guys, cause I don't think they travel much to USA.

Exactly, but I didn't know about their break. Also, a lot of people have side projects (bands, acting, solo albums...), so as long as it stays a side project, they're good.

Damn Burnart, lucky bastard. I'm jamming out to Era Vulgaris right now. Luckily my little sister won tickets to see Incubus here in August so I'll be taking her to that one. I'm hoping they play more stuff from SCIENCE and Make Yourself than their two newer albums.

ye I had huge expectations, first they were going to play before slayer, but some trouble with their flight lead to they had to play after. I dont know, maybe its hard to top slayer but they had no energy.

Hatebreed was fucking awesome, everyone went crazy.

I hate r&b and rap so didn't see luda or chamilionare

Edit: just wanted to say, Incubus is awesome too live, there is NO errors, the vocalist sings everything correct, hits every tone, its so well done its fun to watch, no kidding.

well, this thread is viable again so he can't be bashed for bumping old threads.

I was at a Richard Bona (Bass legend, ranked as one of top three in the world) concert two weeks ago, it ruined music for me for a week. Was the best I've ever seen of music. you have to see him before you die.

Other than that I'm going to see Foo Fighters in a month, anyone seen them?

Word. Would love to see them live.

Passed up and Kanye and Lupe Fiasco a couple weeks ago, would've been cool but no major loss.

I've seen Foo Fighters twice, and they're fantastic. Grohl is a true musical virtuoso who alternates between banshee wailing and gentle crooning without missing a beat. This particular tour has some neat accoustic stuff in it.

great!

IcedEarth
May 8th, 2008, 03:23 PM
Of bands that are still possible?

+ Iced Earth. :P Especially now that Matt Barlow is back in the lineup.
+ Testament. This will come true in July though when they're here with Judas Priest.
+ Absu /w Proscriptor back in the lineup. Awesome band, AMAZING drummer/black metal vocalist.
+ Metallica. They've been here several times, but I missed. Their new stuff is shit, but the classics are fucking classic. With the new album coming out later this year, hopefully a tour early next year or summer next year will happen.
+ AC/DC. The live stuff I've seen sounds great. Would love to see them live.
+ Iron Maiden. Coming true in a month and a day from today though.
+ Quo Vadis. Awesome melodic death metal band from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Their live DVD kicked ass.

I just sold my Metallica ticket for their only concert in Norway this summer (and it'll probably a long fucking time until next time). I am regretting it somewhat, but I've never been a huge fan and I could make other use of the money, going to miami in June (probably), and plane tickets is fucking expencive. 400$ for 2 tickets isn't so bad anyway.

But damn, who knows when I'll get the chance to see them again...?
