Ok so who played the demo?
Very Very Very Poor in my opinion!
I have a (fairly) high spec rig, the a PS3 graphics car (7900gto) and I had to turn ALL graphics down / low just to try and get rid of some of the jumps, and the cars handle like remote control cars... no feel or anything. Very sad :(
I know it says the demo is not reprasentative of the final game, I HOPE TO GOD it isn't because so far, its Codemasters worse release to date. What a shame.

I don't think its soo bad, not great for me though but i'll would have to try the final game to be sure.
Have to agree about performance though, it should be a lot smother i think..

Runs pretty well on my new system but I can defiantly tell that this game could give people problems if they dont have a pretty beefy rig.

PC version isn't smooth at all IMO.
Xbox version is awesome in visuals and is very smooth, but thats about where it ends. I thought the rest of it was just OK.

I deleted that bitch because I couldn't get my damn wheel to work on that game.

My official wheel works perfectly. The force feedback is awesome, but it's not really that strong because the wheel keeps telling me that it was made for kids because of the small diameter of the wheel and the place where my heels are supposed to keep it in place don't fit my feet.
The game is fun. It's pretty arcadey, but it doesn't let you slide around hairpin turns at 80mph. The gameplay is really a matter of taste. I liked the hill climb. The track is quite difficult the first time around, but on my second try I got 1st. The demo only has two levels of difficulty, childish easy and medium. I'm not making fun of "easy", this was actually below the game's equivalent of "easy". The rally was awful since the track is on asphalt and really short. The CORR was a lot fun, and really showed the AI's quality. I was in 1st until #2 bumped into me and spun me out. I caught up with him and when I was a corner away he had spun out. The third time I played CORR I ate it on a huge jump when I was in 1st. I took it at full speed and the landing just fucked me up. Then on the second lap, at the same jump and me in 2nd, the same thing happened to the guy in 1st. It was fucking brilliant.
The menus are awful, and during loading you're shown your statistics, but in a really obnoxious way. It takes forever to navigate because of retarded transitions. This moronic and pointless narrator is a really typical American 'dude', but he can be muted.
I'm not going to buy it when it's at full price, but I'll probably pick it up when it drops. I'll be too busy with Forza to bother playing through it properly.

I thought the menus looked really cool, no matter how inefficient.

CM 2 on the first PS was and still is the best in the series ever made in my opinion! I played that game for hours and hours with friends, championships or just plain timebreaking rounds! I tried all those who came after but they never got the feeling of speed and steering right again after cm2, to bad i gues. Hope dirt is gone change that again but as i can hear and see i dont think so, gone wait till it lands on the ps3.

I'm loving it on the Xbox, this game is going to own my life when it comes out. The graphics are amazing and the gameplay is just not too arcadey, so its perfect for some fun racing. I really think the hard difficulty will be something that requires hours to master, so I hope it will have a long life. I was actually surprised by the graphics, I wasn't convinced the Xbox360 had this much power under the hood.
Between this and forza, I might just not have enough time to eat, let alone sleep.

Don't think it comes out here till tomorrow....$40 for the PC version isn't too bad I suppose. Maybe they'll release some fucking updates to this game soon.
