Red Alert 2 by far. Much better story, better characters, and the 3d thing sucks, I wish they wouldn't make RTS games which allow me to see a total of 4 tanks before the screen is filled up.. yeesh!

3D is the future, you're just mad because your computer can't handle it, or you are stuck in the 90s when 2D was "Da bomb!".

Err, well, I just think that PC RTS games don't do as well 3D because they don't capture the scope of the battlefield. I didn't like Age of Mythology either, in fact, the only 3D RTS I liked was released like 3 years ago.. cant remember the name... oh and my computer specs:

damn ive been trying to play C&CG for days now, ive installed and re-installed 3 times, troubleshot and even updated my drivers, every time i try to start the game it just kicks me back to desktop and won't even start the game, im running Direct-X 8.1 and my video card is 32mb AGP, i know i have enough physical memory i really don't know what the problem is, the build on my video card is S3 Graphics ProSavageDDR, i just bought my computer this way, if i need another card i'll go get one, but i wanted to make sure before i ran out and spent 150-190$ getting something i may not need, help if you can

Well try looking in readme file, I'm pretty sure your vid card isnt officialy supported... and on the side note how does it run on that thing?

the game doesnt run at all, on my computer back home i have an nvidia geforce 2 mmx 400 and c&cg runs just fine, im assuming its my graphics card giving me the woes here, im trying to find out if my AGP slot is 4x or 8x so i can determine what new card to buy, im thinking one of the higher end Nvidia chipsets

IMO, americans who love their country should hate Generals. because they find themselve sucky in that game. the tanks are something... but the cash flow comes in slow.

This is so weird that US don't have nukes in Generals... US was the one that inveted it! Can't they at least give US some depleted uranium warhead? Or some tactical nukes, you know, the ones that do no radiation but huge explosions...

Well US just copied Nazie nuke plans from what I know, besides US wouldnt use nukes, because they are illegal on civilized world.

We've got the Ion Cannon (hahahahaha..) and carpet bombers, along with the A-10 strike.. The U.S. Air Force in Generals can take on the world without any ground forces.

i think the germans developed the bomb, but had nowhere near enough funds to get the required uranium (only 1 part in....150 exists naturally. the rest is u-239 or 238). so that little stubby guy with the "flood victim" hair-do came over ehre, wrote a letter to the white house, and we had enough money to make the reactors to get our u-235.
