So I'm sitting here trying to learn how to play guitar and I hear this loud BANG like something hit the window. I look at the window, and out the window, and see nothing. I go outside and find nothing.

Moments later my neighbor (God bless them, they're the best neighbors anyone could ever ask for) rings the doorbell and asks if we had guests over. Nope. Turns out a group of four black kids were around my car and the bash on the window wasn't on the room window, but instead my car's window. Well lucky me, they may not roll up or down but they don't break either. My neighbor yelled at them and they ran off. We sat out there talking a little bit and went do to the corner when we heard some noise.

There's a sizable (6 or 8) group of "urban youths" sitting on the corner of AMC's turnin. I'd bet MONEY it was them (they ran behind the houses and probably reconviened over there) but we don't have proof. As much as I'd like to either bust some heads (with my trusty bat I stoled from the wraslin' room last year) or have the cops do it for me, there's no proof.

Damn. Oh well, at least nothing happened. And one of them's a pussy. Come on, a '96 Buick Skylark and you can't break the damn window? PAH!

My friends mother was held captive in their house for 4 hours while a black guy raped her and then stabbed her twice. This happened 3 weeks ago, did the evil white man force him to do that?

My mother was help up at gun point and had all the items she had on her stolen, they threatened to rape her, but my sister heard what was going on in the driveway and screamed causing them to leave.

About a year ago we were robbed 5 times in 4 months, they stole everything we owned that could fit through a window. The 4th time it just so happened that they had robbed the house next door only minutes earlier, the (white) cops managed to chase down the two black guys and catch them. We were then required to show up in court to identify the criminals, but when we got there they had escaped and were 'at large' ( as the black woman said so calmly that you'd think she said it every day ).

Now thats just the extreme cases, I'm not going to list the every day stuff we see them do, I don't have the time.

Now people will just blame that on apartheid and say that the white man oppressed them and now they are forced into crime, but thats the biggest pile of ignorant bullshit I have ever heard. Indians were also brought over here as slaves (because the blacks were too useless, believe it or not), they had the same oppression problems and now look at them. We have the biggest population of Indians outside India and a lot of them are thriving and have been doing so for a long, long time. Sure there are still quite a lot of poor Indians here, but they don't engage in violent crime like the blacks do.

I don't believe I'm a racist as I only have problems with black people. All the other races I have come into contact with seem fine.

Another thing which pisses me off is that people think that whites are the only racists in the world. The Indians here HATE the blacks even more than the afrikaaners, they just can't stand them at all. The blacks here are the biggest racists though, they hate white people more than you could ever imagine. This image of a Nelson Mandela freed rainbow nation is complete bullshit, the divides are still there, the only difference is the people in charge have changed colour.

A week before the exams at my University there was a big advertising campaign taking place in one of the popular areas. This happens almost weekly, a company will come in and have music playing with an announcer on a mic, while some girls hand out free samples. They also have little competitions during the day. This day in particular Sprite Zero was being promoted and a huge crowd had gathered. 3 of my friends were in the almost entirely black crowd, just to see what was going on (we normally don't mingle in that area of the varsity), this one black guy won something and was allowed to go speak on the mic. After saying something unimportant he started chanting 'Death to all the white people', upon which the crowd burst into a loud cheer and everyone started chanting and going crazy. At this point my friends very quickly left the area...

Then there is the 'awesome' idea of affirmative action. They will give a job to a black over a white regardless of their education or experience. Now, to a certain degree affirmative action is probably needed because of what happened in the past. The problem is that its meant to uplift the blacks of THIS country, but it doesn't. Our University is a prime example, they want black people to run the departments, not because they were oppressed, but because they don't want whites, plain and simple. There are no qualified black people to hold the positions, so instead they IMPORT black people from overseas countries and hire them. HOW THE FUCK is that uplifting the people of this country? Its just forcing the white educated people to leave as they have no employment opportunities. They also have to lure these foreign black people into the positions, so they have to pay them more than they would pay a locally trained white person. Its fucking ridiculous and blatant government endorsed racism.

Then there is the automatic prejudiced assumption by the blacks that all whites are the same. It was the afrikaaners that started apartheid and caused all the shit. The english speaking whites I know treated blacks very well during apartheid. This is especially true with regards to our maids and gardeners. Now you may think that having a maid or gardener is racist, but they weren't educated because of the laws and it was the only jobs many of them could do. I strongly believe that they were treated better under apartheid than they are now because it was done so out of kindness, rather than being forced through stupid laws. My family helped our maid with medical problems when she found out she had diabetes, we set up retirement and life policies for her, so she had something when she finished working. We helped her find the right food for her condition and when we moved house we especially looked for a place that had a garden cottage so she could live on the property and save money not having to commute. She almost became part of the family and she taught my sister Zulu.

Then the government changed, the economy shot to crap, our bond (mortgage) interest rates went to 27%, we had to sell our house and down scale because we couldn't afford it. We couldn't afford to employ her anymore and she had to find somewhere else to work which required a very long commute. We helped her find a job because we felt really bad, but it wasn't the same. We still used to see her occasionally, but then we had to move again and we lost contact.

Now that isn't an isolated incident, all the white families we are friends with treated their employees the same way, but since the government change they can no longer afford to employ the less fortunate people on a full time basis and they have to scrounge for day to day jobs while the blacks in power get richer and richer.

We have currently had about 2 weeks of government employee strikes. The rate of inflation is about 10% but for the last couple of years they have only raised the salaries by 6%. On top of that the price of petrol has sky rocketed and people just can't live on their salaries. The strikes turned extremely violent and property was destroyed all because the blacks in power can't give the black employees a decent raise when they themselves are only happy with million rand salaries.

Now I hope you will excuse me and let me continue my non-prejudice extreme dislike for these uncultured wastes of oxygen.

There is no single thing in any country that could be pointed out as the cause of any particular problem (on a national level). Most of these problems are due to various factors combined, and many times there are also historical events that are a factor.

Bored is talking about South Africa and yes there are problems. But what he forgets to mention is how the supposed english speaking whites in south africa were so supportive during apartheid. He also forgot to mention that during apartheid the blacks were not only opprressed but also were force fed an education system that basically taught them how supreme the whites are etc etc. It should also be mentioned that the amount of criminals per racial group in south africa is exactly the same for all of them. The only reason it seems that blacks are the only criminals is because there's millions more of them in the country. And there's much more that contribute to the state of our country (which, apart from crime and unemployment, is much better than it ever was) than I care to post here.

Instead of moping about how horrible your collective countries/governments/lives/blacks are, why don't you guys just do something about your situations or perhaps just care enough to educate yourself on what factors are really involved in your local problems.

If you cannot do that, then kill the fuckers and yourselves and do us all a favour.

You are the kind of person that just believes the positive crap that the government spews at you. Every day I hear about another school that is attacked by strikers and how the children are being threatened to stop writing exams. This country is so fucked and I hope you go down with it. I am doing something about my situation, I have an indefinite leave to remain visa for the UK and I plan to be living there permanently by the end of the year. You also just lump the english and afrikaans whites together, probably because you are afrikaans. Democracy doesn't support minorities, so why bother. I've voted, so I have the right to complain.

Another thing you have to consider, apartheid didn't fall because the blacks got their shit together, the whole of Africa is proof that they can't do that. Apartheid was originally supported by the US because the ANC had adopted communist policies and was supported by the USSR. Once the threat of communism fell and the USSR collapsed, the US stopped supporting apartheid and imposed sanctions on SA causing huge pressure on the afrikaans government which in turn led to the fall of apartheid.

There's always two things I like to remember, that give me a good chuckle:

During apartheid the MAJORITY were oppressed by the MINORITY and again, it was easy.

Mr. Bored, with all due respect, I think you are just lashing out at the overstatement of the "black problem". Now, I am not suggesting that individual blacks that commit crimes are innocent, or that even you possess some of the guilt (via ancestry or whatever the fuck) as the judicial system, on a utilitarian level, must punish crimes as a matter of course. However, I believe that disregarding or even discounting the evidence for a causal relationship between historic factors and the current quagmire is rather simplistic and unhelpful.
